Such an amazing experience! Lots of walking so be prepared but so much fun! The day started out a little wet but this cleared to become a perfect day for hiking. Have to say, this is great way to see the five villages and the surrounding areas. Suited us right down to the ground. Our guide Lavinia was just fantastic as she lead us through the region and filled us in on the history of the area and the people. Very well organised. We don't usually do guided tours but this one, along with the Tuscany Tour, was well worthwhile. Do the tour! Thanks Lavinia!
booling here linked the tour locally to the tour company in Florence. Angel was our tour guide and he was fantastic and So helpful behind just what was required. The only bummer is we went on late in November and most things were closed in the town. Still great though.
Nice tour meet lots cool people, the lady tour guide was excellent I can't remember her name sorry it was lots of fun for sure I do this again ;)
Even though it was a rainy day this tour was spectacular. Our guide was extremely nice and accommodating, ensuring that everyone got everything out of the experience. The hike was physically rewarding and the towns were beautiful to see. A must see if in the area!
It was everything we were expecting and then some. Our 13 year old boy enjoyed every minute of it, the tour guides kept him, and everyone else very intrigued. i would highly recommend, and would do again in an instant!
This by far is the best tour we took. Even in the pouring rain you can do it. I called this "my obstacle course of italy with water and mud" . The hike down the mountain and the view is breathtaking. Take plenty of pictures! The meal that was provided is outstanding! Freddy makes the trek so much fun! He has plenty of knowledge on the coastal cities ! Do not miss it!!!!!
Amazing place! Tour was great, even with overcast weather. Freddy the guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. Plenty of time to explore on your own, great lunch and amazing views!
Loved this tour! The hiking was a little tough, make sure you wear the right shoes. The lunch was fantastic, had enough time in each village. Would highly recommend.
This was a fabulous tour. It is strenuous. Our tour was mainly downhill to the restaurant along the sea and if it is raining, it can be very slippery. Our guide was wonderful and really helped us along the way. It was on my bucket list for retirement and I am glad I made it!
Exceptional Tour. Tour guide was wonderful. The hike was definitely challenging. Wouldn't recommend if you are not in pretty good shape. The boat ride was the highlight of the day. Would recommend highly.
We did this tour on Oct 25, 2014. Highly recommend this tour for outdoor, adventurous fanatics out there who love to explore the beauty of Cinque Terre! My boyfriend really loved this tour, he would do it again. I love this tour too but the hiking was a bit strenuous for me, not wearing the right footwear and outfit. We loved our guides, Freddy and Gloria, who did a superb guiding for us, the fact that Freddy is an American (who speaks fluent Italian of course), made it easier for us to understand the direction fast. Freddy also gave useful tips throughout the tour on what to eat, the condition of the public toilets etc.. Plus in the bus on the way to Cinque Terre, he and Gloria shared very informative insights on the surroundings / places we passed. We enjoyed the group we had.. it was like a UN group with people ranging from New Zealand to Canada, me myself from Indonesia and my boyfriend is from Guam.. Only negative was there were a few girls in the group who apparently got drunk half way through the tour and were slowing us all a bit because they tend to get behind and lost and so Freddy had to take extra time to supervise them. Plus one of the girls pee-d in the bus on the way back to Florence. Not classy at all, girl!... Anyway, all in all, a great and highly recommended tour.. The beauty of the towns in Cinque Terre... worth the sore legs and sunburnt. PS: Congrats to Freddy who just got married days ago!
The tour was fantastic! Both guides were incredible and very enthusiastic.
Great day the towns were amazing.Freddie our guide was great too!
The perfect day trip! No complaints about this trip at all. Planned out very well, great tour guide, we loved every second of it!
The experience was incredible and our tour guide was the best. We had time to explore all the cities and got to travel by train and boat. We saw the sunset on the boat. I would say this was well worth my money (I would have paid more for it). I highly recommend this trip.
The Cinque Terre hiking trip exceeded all of our expectations. The day started out raining, but the moment we got to Cinque Terre the rain had cleared up and the schedule went as planned. The sights are stunning and Martina and Fabio were great guides. Would do again in the future and would recommend to all of our friends!
We had an excellent time. Not really knowing what to expect as we had not been on a tour, but it was more than we expected. It was well organised, informative, picturesque. The tour guide, Julian, was fantastic and we were very lucky with the great group that also went - especially Peter - thanks for the glass of bubbly :)) Would definitely use this tour company again. Thank you Julian, they have a gem working for their company.
This was the highlight of our trip to Italy, which included Venice, Florence, and Rimini. We were lucky to have a warm and dry day to hike the trail between Corniglia and Vernazza. It was slightly challenging (and I'm 60) but not overly streuous or dangerous. The lunch in Corniglia was fabulous, the best seafood salad I've ever had. Cinque Terre is stunning and if you can make the time to go you won't regret it.
We loved our Cinque Terre tour. Angelo our guide was great. He was extremely knowledgeable and had a great sense of humour. The tour was beautiful, allowing enough time in each stop to look around. The trek was great, with the most amazing views - glad it was mainly down hill though - many steps/stairs. We had a great time and would thoroughly recommend this tour, a great way to see the Cinque Terre in a day!
Wonderful, amazing and so picturesque. Our guides, Freddie and Angel from Walkabout Tours were excellent. They were both funny and so accommodating. The day/weather was nice when we did the tour in October. What a perfect day for this tour. The way this itinerary was arranged was fantastic. I will never forget the very delicious lunch in Corniglia. I enjoyed the freshness of all the food. Although we missed the boat ride due to rough seas, they accommodated us for a drink at a restaurant in Riomaggiore which was very close to the Via de'll Amore. It turned out perfect. Do not miss the very good gelato in Vernazza which was timed perfectly after a long hike from Corniglia. The views are spectacular and I suggest to take this tour to see and do things in Cinque Terra in a limited one day time. Thanks to Freddie and Angel for making this fun and exciting for all.
This trip was absolutely fabulous. The weather was perfect and we were able to go on the boat ride at the end of the day. Our guides, Martina and Fabio were excellent: organized, knowledgeable and fun. It was our 35th anniversary that day and was very memorable
Great experience but got caught in the rain half way through the hike. Getting down was treacherous but we made it without any mishaps. Many of us were soaked through and had to spend the rest of the day like that. It was an unfortunate situation but Cinque Terre was brilliant in all other ways.
Great experience, even though it rained during our hike.
Tour guides Sandra and Fabby were great. Made the bus ride
enjoyable by giving us a little history on the passing towns.
