Beautiful - One of our favorite trips. You get a lot of free time to roam around and take in the beauty of this place. Not too much as far as info and the history, but the view and everything else in between was stunning.

Fantastic tour, made more so by a knowledgable and entertaining tour guide, Claudio. Claudio was also a bit of a foodie, he booked us into a very nice restaurant for lunch at Vernazza. Best seafood linguine we've ever had, and cheap too - only 12 euro per plate (primi piatti). This tour is one way of guaranteeing you a ride on the ferry from Riomaggiore to Vernazza. Otherwise, if you go independently, you may find ferry seats sold out for the day. Beautiful and picturesque towns and coastline. It is really just a taste of Cinque Terre - motivates you to return again for a longer stay. Enjoyed it very much.

The tour was amazing. The place speaks for itself. With that said, the tour guide is also amazing. You have a great mix of free time with information time. Would definitely recommend!

The guide was great. As were the views. My mum came with me and can't walk far but even she managed it. I'd happily do it every weekend.

This trip was AWESOME. It was the highlight of our two week trip in Italy. I have lost the name of the older gentleman that took us from Piazza del Repubblica to Cinque Terre. He was very nice and knowledgable. He had the trip down to a T and allowed us to make some scheduling decisions as we went. Take the early boat to Vernazza, that was the place to spend the most time. Bring some swimsuits. The water was beautiful. I could post all the same pics but it doesn't do it justice. Though we don't plan on visiting any other part of Italy in the future, a few days in Vernazza are assuredly in our future.

We did this trip and also the Amalfi/Pompeii Small Group Day Trip from Rome and we preferred this one as far as a coastal day trip goes. Much less time in the car, not rushed, good amount of free time and picture taking opportunities, and awesome boat ride! A few in our group brought their swim suits and were able to swim in AMAZING sites during breaks. Our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this trip!

Really good tour. Visited 3 of the towns, the other two still damaged by the land slide last year. Had a great boat and train ride to the villages. Plenty of free time for lunch and exploring. Tour guide was great.

Our tour was outstanding. Our guides Claudio and Luca were lots of fun to be with. They were on time and met us at each place that we were to meet them. To see the area we took a great boat ride along the coast to one town and a fun train ride to another town. It is such a beautiful area that it takes your breath away. We loved visiting the towns that seemed to be hanging off the mountains. Claudio stopped the van at the top of one of the mountains so that we could see the grape vines below. We really liked the small group for this tour. There were only six of us in the van going to Cinque Terre. We had time to walk through the towns and didn't feel rushed. We really recommend this tour. Don't forget to bring your padlock to put on the lover's walk on the coastal pathway fence!

Our tour with John couldn't have been better - I highly recommend him for anyone who wants the perfect day trip to Cinque Terre. He was very informative, but at the same time knew when to give space and let us explore for ourselves, and the trip itself was very thoughtfully put together to best highlight the area in only one day's time. It was incredibly convenient (picked us up and dropped us off in the city center), and while we had a packed day, we still had time to come home, change, and go to dinner when we got back. Go on this trip!!
