We had a great time on our trip! Drove about 2 hours then got off to take a few pictures of the view, which is amazing. Went to the first village for about 20 minutes. 2nd for about 30 min, 3rd village for 2 hours then the last for about 20 min. I wish we had more time at each one, but overall it was an easy way to see the region in one day. Also, it's absolutely gorgeous.
We had a lovely day trip to Cinque Terre. Unfortunately we did not do the boat trip, presumably because of the weather - however we thoroughly enjoyed the day.
Cinque Terre was definitely a must, really enjoyed stunning views and a day out visiting 4 of the 5 Cinque Terre villages, which were really picturesque. The tour was very well organised, and really enjoyed having some free time on the villages.
This was a fabulous day trip from Florence! Our tour guide, Giacomo, was knowledgeable, helpful and extremely personable. . . told us so much about this beautiful area, stopped at all the right spots for picture taking, made lunch reservations for those who wanted them, even carried a package for me. Cinque Terre is a beautiful area, even on a cloudy day. Highly recommended!
Great trip! Our tour guide, Jonathon, was fun and informative. My husband and I road in a minivan with 6 travel companions wondering about the clouds ahead. Jonathon had a plan to see other desirable sites if we weren't able to complete our Cinque Terre tour since traveling during the "off" season is risky. Weather permitted and we saw the spectacular views as planned. The towns were nearly empty and the tour was very relaxed. We saw 4 of the 5 towns; arriving in the first town, Riomaggiore, by van, the subsequent two by train, followed by the last town, by van. We ate lunch in Vernazza at Gianni Franzi. I had the pesto, per Jonathon's recommendation, which did not disappoint. We had to experience the local cuisine and ordered fried anchovies. Delish!
We had a wonderful trip to this beautiful area. Our guide, Jocomo, was delightful and very knowledgeable. He told us a lot about the areas on the way as well. He took good care of us and we saw all but one of the cities (the road was closed to the last one). He made our lunch reservations, purchased our train tickets and got us on the boat very efficiently. This is an amazing and beautiful place not to be missed. We will definitely visit again.
This tour of Cinque Terre was a highlight of our trip to Italy! The small group was an ideal way to see the area since some of the roads were too narrow for tour buses. The pace of the day was perfect and our tour guide, Jonathan, was able to give an excellent restaurant and meal suggestion for our lunch. In the small group setting Jonathan was also able to tell us lots of interesting facts about the area and answer any questions we had. The views were breathtaking, the food and wine was delicious and Jonathan added a personal touch to the day that will not soon be forgotten!
Well done with trains inbetween towns (sea was too rough for tour boats). Very courteous driver and informative.
This place will forever remain in my minds eye and heart. Our guide Johnathan was outstanding. Our group also had fun together. Great tour Viatour. Patricia from Michigan
Beautifull!! Perfect day and very gentle tour guide...awesome views!!!
Enjoyed this trip, the guide was great and very helpful with all the step and hill climbing. ALthough this wasn't the 'hiking' tour, we did a lot of uphill walking. Although you suggest wearing good walking shoes,
it involved more uphill walking than I thought. Suggest you inform future customers before, so they can prepare. Needed more time in our last city - as we had to get lunch and back to our meeting point in very short time.
The waking night tour was fantastic our tour guide Lauren was awesome
We had a wonderful day. Our guide was friendly, really informative and stopped at several places along the route so that we could take photos or just get off the bus to admire the views. Although the tour was full on, there was plenty of time on our own to explore each place we visited. We were fortunate that the sea was calm and we were able to catch the boat from Riomaggiore to Vernazza where we had an incredible seafood lunch. We have always avoided going on organised tours but after this trip, we have changed our minds.
Chinque Terre is a very special place. See all the colorful houses on the top of each other and understand the reason behind it, it's just great! This tour gives you the freedom to walk around it and explore it as you want. Our driver guide gave us very good tips about the area and was very friendly. If you are planing to go to Florence, you cannot miss Chinque Terre.
