THE BEST TOUR/EXCURSION I HAVE EVER DONE! PERFECT. Our guide and interpretor Olivia was so awesome and Carmella our teacher was priceless. If you want and authentic Italian experience this is a must.
Fantastic experience! Wonderful guide, delightful group, very fun chef Carmella made it all very enjoyable and my favorite day in Florence. I highly recommend this experience. The pasta, pizza, and wine were my favorites.
When all the other reviewers said that this was the highlight of their trip in Italy, they weren't kidding! I spent 10 days in Italy, 3 days in Florence and this was definitely the best activity I did. Lavinia was a great tour guide with excellent spoken English, very friendly and knowledgeable about the local culture and cuisine. We went through the markets where she explained what are some of the highlights and must-trys of Florentine food. The farm house was beautiful (my dream kitchen) and we had so much fun with the chef despite her not being able to speak English nor us, Italian. Lavinia was a superb translator and we managed really well. We made pasta from scratch, pizza in a wood-fired oven, roast pork, gelato and tiramisu! It's all very hands-on so you'll definitely learn how all the ingredients come together. Be sure to eat very little for breakfast as you'll be munching non-stop throughout the tour!
This tour was by far the highlight of the Florence portion of our trip. What made it special? The people (both the leaders and the attendees), the atmosphere, the surprise of what we learned on the walk to the market, and the food.. just overally a really fun day that we would all (there were 8 of us) highly recommend
AWESOME!!!! Absolutely brilliant tour... if one is to experience the complete Tuscan and Florentine life, then one must do it as Italians do, from their heart and with their love of food...Everything surpassed my expectations, from our beautiful and friendly guide Lavi to the wonderful Carlotta and her niece Avi, it was the most brilliant day.. The farmhouse was on top of a beautiful hill and the sight was awesome, the whole day was the best tour I have done in Italy.. and I have done so many brilliant tours... Highly must recommend that one does this... don't miss it!!!!!
The most amazing tour I have ever taken. Our guides and chef were amazing. If you only have one day in Florence, book this tour.
THIS WAS AN ABSOLUTELY AMAZING EXCURSION! My wife and I highly recommend it! It was THE BEST excursion we did on our Honeymoon. Lavinia and Carmella are so kind and friendly! Truly a great experience to cook an authentic meal and enjoy the beautiful landscape of Tuscany!
Fantastic cooking lessons in an outstanding setting in the hills of Tuscany with an unbelievable cooking facilities. The tour guide and the chef made for a fun and enjoyable experience as well learning how to make some excellent meals. I would recommend this tour highly.
This tour was amazing from start to finish! Our guide Mara was great - super friendly and extremely knowledgeable as she led us on a mini-walking tour through Florence, which included a few stops to buy some of the ingredients we would need later. The farmhouse was only about a 15 minute drive from the train station, and was outfitted with a beautiful, modern kitchen. Chef Camilla was super sweet and only spoke Italian (which made for an even more fun experience, especially when she would break out in spontaneous song), so Mara helped translate her instructions and our questions throughout the day. One of the best things about this class is that it was completely hands-on. Camilla walked us through the steps of the recipe, and everyone in the class was able to participate somehow regardless of experience or skill. It was also nice to be able to make so many different courses, rather than just pizza or pasta, and having beer and wine as we cooked was a nice touch. At the end of the day the group sat down to enjoy the meal we all made together, and we were presented with a certificate of achievement before heading back to the city. Not only did we leave with recipes we could recreate at home, it also felt as if we made new friends that day. Thank you, thank you Mara, Camilla and Arla (who helped us perfect our pizza technique) for such a great experience that I would absolutely recommend to everyone who visits Florence.
This course was so much fun and inspiring, much more than I had expected.
I truely enjoyed. Great group we were with the gal the was our tour guild was very nice and informative. I'd recommend to go if you enjoy cooking and learning new or refine what you know. Pizza was the best best best!!!
No doubt, the cooking tour was the highlight of our week in Florence! It was so informative, interactive, and fun - due entirely to the excellent tour guide and chefs! Their expertise, positive energy, patience, and fun-filled attitude made it the best experience. I will never forget it!
