Awesome !!!! the highlight of our vacation. The evening was great fun and the staff where amazing with the kids. I can highly recommend the class. We plan to book another class on our next holiday in Florence.
Although we had a little difficulty finding the location, this experience was one of the highlights of my 11 year old nephew's trip to Italy. Prior to leaving the US he told everyone that he was going to learn how to make pizza. The hand-on experience of making the dough, choosing the toppings, placing his pizza in the oven and then eating what he made will forever be a positive experience of his trip. Although he was a little disappointed that he could not make the gelato, he understood that it would have been too difficult for 15 people to make individual gelato. The class was a perfect size and the two instructors made it a point to be sure everyone in the group - adults and children - had a great time.
One of the highlights of our trip! Our instructor David was great. Very personable, helpful and informative. Got some good tips on how to make pizza when we come home. The pizza was by far the best that I had during my time in Italy!
A lot of fun. Some good tips although the gelato wasn't really applicable to making it yourself as it required expensive machinery.
I was travelling in Italy with my 9 year old son and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The instructors were helpful and entertaining and they made a point to include everyone. We were in a class of about 20 people (including about 7-8 children) and each person had his own work station. First the chef demonstrated and explained the techniques very clearly as we watched and then walked around as we followed his steps. There were 2 instructors - one did the pizza instruction and the other did the gelato instruction. They both helped during the "hands-on" part. Each person made a pizza but the gelato was a whole group demonstration since it has to be made in a larger batch. After the "work" was done we ate together and got to know each other a little. It was an informal atmosphere and an enjoyable evening.
This was a really fun evening. I was a solo traveler and my fellow attendees made this a great evening. Learning about the pizza and gelato was great too. The presenters were fun and easy to talk to.
We had such a fun time creating our pizzas and learning what good gelato should look and taste like ! Everything we needed was supplied. The instructors were both helpful and hilarious. The best part was getting to know our "classmates" from around the world. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Florence who is looking for a hands-on experience with their family.
