My friend and I had an excellent evening cooking with Alessio! He really knew what he was talking about and a fun and enjoyable evening was had by everyone in the group. I would definitely recommend this class!!!
Very good tour. Even our teenage boys enjoyed it. The instructors were excellent and made the class fun. They interacted with everyone in the group from young children to grown adults. The pizza and gelato we made were very good, some of the best we had over the 12 days we were in Italy. I highly recommend this tour.
My husband and I took our 9 year old and 13 year old boys to the cooking class and had a wonderful evening. Great memories were made.
Although we had a little difficulty finding the location, this experience was one of the highlights of my 11 year old nephew's trip to Italy. Prior to leaving the US he told everyone that he was going to learn how to make pizza. The hand-on experience of making the dough, choosing the toppings, placing his pizza in the oven and then eating what he made will forever be a positive experience of his trip. Although he was a little disappointed that he could not make the gelato, he understood that it would have been too difficult for 15 people to make individual gelato. The class was a perfect size and the two instructors made it a point to be sure everyone in the group - adults and children - had a great time.
Awesome !!!! the highlight of our vacation. The evening was great fun and the staff where amazing with the kids. I can highly recommend the class. We plan to book another class on our next holiday in Florence.
One of the highlights of our trip! Our instructor David was great. Very personable, helpful and informative. Got some good tips on how to make pizza when we come home. The pizza was by far the best that I had during my time in Italy!
A lot of fun. Some good tips although the gelato wasn't really applicable to making it yourself as it required expensive machinery.
This was a really fun evening. I was a solo traveler and my fellow attendees made this a great evening. Learning about the pizza and gelato was great too. The presenters were fun and easy to talk to.
We had such a fun time creating our pizzas and learning what good gelato should look and taste like ! Everything we needed was supplied. The instructors were both helpful and hilarious. The best part was getting to know our "classmates" from around the world. It was one of the highlights of our trip. We would recommend this experience to anyone traveling to Florence who is looking for a hands-on experience with their family.
I was travelling in Italy with my 9 year old son and this was one of the highlights of our trip. The instructors were helpful and entertaining and they made a point to include everyone. We were in a class of about 20 people (including about 7-8 children) and each person had his own work station. First the chef demonstrated and explained the techniques very clearly as we watched and then walked around as we followed his steps. There were 2 instructors - one did the pizza instruction and the other did the gelato instruction. They both helped during the "hands-on" part. Each person made a pizza but the gelato was a whole group demonstration since it has to be made in a larger batch. After the "work" was done we ate together and got to know each other a little. It was an informal atmosphere and an enjoyable evening.
The chefs were professional, personable and great teachers! They care about what they do and it shines through! What a great experience!
My daughters and I enjoyed a delightful time making pizza, and viewing the preparation of gelato, for dinner in Florence. Definitely one of the hi-lites of our Italy vacation! Our chef was knowledgeable, entertaining, and ensured everyone enjoyed the experience. He confidently predicted at the start of the evening that this would be the best pizza, and gelato, we had tasted and afterwards everyone was in agreement. I am glad I booked this tour and am already looking forward to a future Viator experience! Thank you for a wonderful and unforgettable evening in Florence!
Really really good! Brilliant hosts, learnt loads. A sociable experience and lots of wine!
My sister and I sent our teenagers on this tour without us and they loved it! Florence is an easy city to walk around and they were able to go out on their own and do something fun. They said the class was a ton of fun, and they all got certificates of completion! The instructors were funny. The kids loved it. The pizza was very good, and they didn't make gelato, they watched it being made and ate it.
It was more "learn how to make pizza and see how someone makes gelato using a professional machine", but I was in it mainly for the pizza, so I didn't mind. There were about 20 of us (mainly Americans) and the class took place in a professional kitchen. We started out with the pizza, making the base from scratch. The instructors were charming and funny, and they also knew their stuff. They were actually pretty serious about making sure we ended up with a proper pizza! Very clear, easy to follow instructions. One of the instructors then mixed the ingredients for a gelato (with the help of some of the younger students) and stuck it in the ice cream machine so it'd be ready for later. When the pizzas were ready, we each eat our own and then had some gelato. There was plenty of wine available while we cooked and while we eat our food. Great experience, all in all, and I'd recommend it.
This was so much fun and I learned a ton, not to mention the food that we made was delicious. I would recommend it to all ages and all levels of chefs, from beginner to advanced!
