This was alot of fun and Andreas and Houlio were great, keeping the night fun but also helping us make the best pizza ever! We made some pizza, drank some wine and ate some gelato. I was traveling on my own and so went solo to the evening but was made to feel comfortable and met some nice people along the way. Don't be put off if you are on your own, its a good way to spend an evening.
This was a very fun evening out in Florence! I would highly recommend taking the time for a cooking class (or two) while in Italy. Each of us made an authentic pizza from scratch and learned how to make some delicious gelato in the heart of downtown Florence. Giovanni, our chef, was great in leading us through the steps of making a great pizza. The best part was enjoying our pizza creations over a glass of wine with our group! The gelato was fantastic too!
A short entertaining cooking class is one of the best way to enjoy a night in Firenze. I highly recommend it for anyone who want to experience Florence and meet friendly people from all over the world.
I booked this tour on line the day of the tour itself, so was a little uncertain even that it would go through at such short notice - I need not have worried - it was fantastic! I booked, received confirmation within an hour
and that evening 3 of us (aged 20, 28 and 54) met the chefs at the offices, walked to a lovely kitchen and then proceeded to be entertained and instructed in the art of pizza and gelatto making. The chefs were brilliant, inclusive, attentive, funny and kind....they even made me some delicious gluten free pasta and sauce as I couldn't eat the pizza I had made. It was brilliant...the group of about 14 were all nice too....great evening (and reasonable) just do it!!
This was an excellent evening made even better by head chef Giovanni. It was fun, hands on and a great one for the kids. My 11 and 14 year old both loved it and loved eating the end result! Highly recommend it.
Awesome experience!!! The instructors were World Class... They were most helpful beyond their agenda in answering questions, giving advice... It was an Italian cooking experience... The food outcomes were the best... A Definite recommendation with the value far in excess of the cost... Charlie and Jeanne Boling - Little Rock AR
We are a family of five and had a great time at the cooking class. Kids (11, 14 and 16) had a blast. The guy who ran the class was hysterical (forgot his name). I can definitely recommend this class.
This was absolutely brilliant. We all felt welcomed. We all had a lot of fun and we learned interesting facts and we were not rushed in and out of this event. Lovely people who ran the class.
This class was so fun. I went with other family members and we all laughed and had a blast. What a fun way to spend an early Sunday evening. All that and you get to eat your fantastic pizza creation at the end. I would definitely book this again if I'm back in Florence. It beats a boring tour!
Kind of a long walk to where the kitchen was. Other than that, an absolutely wonderful experience.
There were only 3 of us for the cooking class which was awesome. It was a raining day/evening our first day in Florence and this event really made our day!
What a fabulous experience and pizza was yummy too :-) can't wait to go back to florence to do another class!
Had so much fun! The instructor was charming and very knowledgable. The finished product was delicious!
Fantastic! An excellent holiday option to add a bit of difference to your trip. Great chefs explained how to make the pizza and gelato. My pizza tasted superb and now I've returned home, I've bought all the ingredients and a pizza stone to make pizza this weekend! Highly recommend.
Our group of four ladies joined the other pizza/gelato class members for a walk through Florence led by Chef Giovanni until we reached the kitchen classroom. A huge kitchen greeted us and Giovanni quickly got our attention as he aptly demonstrated how to make a pizza from scratch. Then it was our turn. It was fun, messy, and yes the Chef did have to reshape a few of the dough balls but in the end we were all very proud of our creations and loved our delicious individual pizzas. Chef Giovanni was friendly and thourough and we plan on putting our new skill to use in an upcoming pizza making party for family in the states. We really enjoyed our time in the kitchen. We also learned a lot about how to make gelato and received very useful info on how to tell the fresh gelato over the mass produced as well as a fantasic lead for a shop for the 'best gelato of our lives'! We are very happy we choose this class.
Not only was this an educational experience, it was super yummy and a lot of fun!
Chef was INCREDIBLE and we all learned how to make the tastiest pizza's and gelato. It was a great experience and my daughter and I loved it. The entire evening from our walk through Florence to getting settled in the kitchen to tasting our hand made pizzas...it was a treat I will remember for a very, very long time. We all even received a certificate of excellence too! I would recommend this to everyone!
Do this one. The chefs are great fun and you'll learn how easy it is to make the gelato when you return home.
We were traveling Italy with two of our teenage grand daughters and thought we'd give this activity a try. It was a five star hit. We would definitely recommend this fun class to any one. We loved learning how to make pizza and gelato. A great evening that includes eating your own creation. Our two chefs were friendly and very helpful.
My wife and I had a really fun evening learning how to make pizza and gelato. The two chefs were a lot of fun to learn from. My wife is Italian and already knows how to cook pizza but she picked up some great, new pointers which she has already employed at home and I have had the pleasure of sampling her new skills.
Lots of fun with this hands on experience. A must do in Italy!!!!
Another highlight of our trip to Italy was taking this pizza and gelato class. Chef David and assistant Julio made the class fun and they kept us laughimg! Chef David taught us the technique of making a good pizza dough. As the dough was rising we learned how to make gelato, while sipping chianti. We learned how to roll out the dough and the technique of picking up the pizza with a long pizza paddle. Everyone's pizza was a success. The class was set up in the evening at 6:00 so it was perfect as dinner. They served more chianti with our finished pizzas and we never felt rushed. The gelato was our dessert. Plan this fun evening as part of your tour in Florence:)
