This was the highight of our Florence trip. Chef Alessandro introduced us to butchers, bakers and market merchants selling olive oils, truffle oil and Italian food products.We learned a lot in his cooking class, it was good to eat and good fun at the same time. Mama Mia! It was great.Don't miss it!
We visited 2 great wineries and the wine tastings were very good. Besides wine we sampled balsamic vinegar, olive oil and grappa.
Super fun, the market is amazing, I want a market like this in my town. Our instructors were fun and instructive. We enjoyed the fruits of our class in their wine cellar dining room I think I can make homemade pasta on my own
This was fun! Alessandro led a mixed group of Australian and American tourists through the Mercato Centrale and then back to the kitchen to make (and eat) lunch. He was charming and funny and very patient with us. Our family all had a great time, and I think the others in the group did as well. I can't wait to try making pasta again.

My wife and I had a great time and we highly recommend this cooking class. The class was on our first full day in Italy and it introduced us to Florence, the market, and some important aspects regarding meats, flavors and tastes of Tuscany. We were able to sample olive oils, balsamic vinegars, Vin Santo wine, biscotti and truffle paste. We also had a lesson in how to order Florentine steak (T-bones). The class was a lot of fun and we learned to make pasta, bruschetta, pannacotta, and an Italian meatloaf. All were exceptional and we ate it all in the wine cellar. Francesco, our chef and teacher, was personable, knowledgeable and entertaining - great fun! He made the whole experience a great deal of fun as well as educational.
The course included both a market tour and cooking class. Both were educational and entertaining. The chefs and help were all fluent in English. And, after prep of the multi-course meal, the class members all enjoyed a delicious and fun meal together with much wine and conversation. I highly recommend the course.

The cooking class and the trip to the Market couldn't have been better. The class turned out to be just my daughter and I. Because of this we were able to do so much more. The food turned out excellent. I would gladly do it again. Our chef was great in guiding us.
If I could give this tour more than 5 stars I would! Chef Francesco was awesome! He was entertaining and taught us so much about the local food and Marketplace. The Market was BEYOND SPECTACULAR! If you have the opportunity, book this tour early in your Florence visit so you can return to the market place. On the day of your cooking class the market tour is limited and the place closes before your class is over so go the next day and just shop and sample and savor this incredible market! After we had purchased what we needed for the class we walked to the cooking school and were joined by two other chefs to make a delicious (though very simple) Italian lunch complete with appetizer and dessert. This was a fabulous day and I would do it again or would sign up for more classes they have at the school. Even though the tour said there would be a maximum of 12 people, our group had 15 excluding the chefs but was still a great time!
This was a lot of fun. We were met at the market by our lovely chef. We did tastings at the market and then went on to the kitchen. All well organised and fun staff. Our lunch was served down in the atmospheric wine cellar with lots of wine supplied - a great day and new skills learnt.
