Awesome tour with our guide Luca who's love of his city shines through his commentary and chat.
A great way of seeing some of Florence's history and place in the world through its food and wines.
Covers a lots of ground but not in kms and certainly has the variety to satisfy all tastes.Especially loved our time at Alimentari Uffizi with Alessandro, a true artist . Highly recommend this tour.
After the Uffizi the day before, we wanted to do something different and this tour did not disappoint. Although we did not taste any chocolates, everything else was amazing. The guide was very good and the time passed so quickly. You MUST try the mozzarella gelato.
Our guide really provided us a wonderful experience, taking us to some great places for tastings while also giving us recommendations on other places to check out later.
I highly recommend doing this tour while you visit Florence as it gives you a great insight to Tuscan and Florentine gourmet food. Linda, was one of the best guides I have had on a tour and was so kind and thoughtful. This tour has really been planned out and organised very well. You are escorted to some of the fanciest food eateries in Florence and are always spoilt for choice on what to eat.
I cannot fault this tour, as each place you went was special and amazing in its own right. The places are classy and definetely not 'touristy' or 'tacky' , as many Italians were eating in the places at the same time. Definetely enjoyed the small group size, as the tour felt more exclusive and private. Thank you so much Linda for making my afternoon so enjoyable!
Everyone in our group loved this tour. Linda our guide was an amazing lady. This tour gave a taste and a look into Florence we probably wouldn't have seen otherwise. The small group size was great and we tended to avoid the crowded touristy areas. It was also held late afternoon which was nice to avoid the heat of the day and nothing beats Florence in the evening.
Everything tasted great! Can't wait to break open my balsamic vinegar.
A perfect way to spend the afternoon in Florence. Our guide was delightful and we learned so much while we enjoyed tasting. Fun!
Lisa was great and enthusiastic. Shared her love of Florence with us. Introduced us to places most tourists would miss.
Excellent tour! If you're going to do a tour in Florence, I highly recommend this one. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She took us to four out of the way places that on our own we probably wouldn't have seen or stopped at and they were all amazing and the food delicious!
Definately recommended!!!! Our 4year old daughter enjoyed it, mostly the ice cream part! Our guide Natale was just perfect
I have not stopped raving about the Florence Gourmet Food Tour! We had a very small group which allowed for personal interaction with our phenomenal guide. The tour was a wonderful blend of historical tidbits and delicious gourmet bites from local artisan shops; places we would not have discovered on our own. I enjoyed learning about truffles, olive oil, and Florence's ancient wine "drive through system". It was a brilliantly conceived tour!
The. Best. Tour. In. Florence.
Our guide was amazing, the food was spectacular, and it really gave us a good foundation for how/where to eat for the rest of the trip. I highly highly recommend this to everyone that goes to Florence.
Without a doubt this was the hi-lite of our trip. Linda was super knowledgeable and fun. My husband and tours don't usually mix but he had a blast, and didn't want it to end. What more can I say.
our guide Linda was very informative and we enjoyed it very much
Great tour! Interesting, informative, fun guide and most important tasty!
Our guide Adrienne was very well informed and had a wide knowledge of Italian food and wine.
We learned a lot about regional differences in food and the customs involved etc.
The tasting of all the different delicacies was fantastic, such delicious flavours!
It was a bonus that she also had a pretty substantial knowledge of the general history of Florence too, giving us lots of miscellaneous facts and pointing out details on buildings we may have missed as we went from one place to another.
The group consisted of just me and my partner which was great and apparently the groups are kept to a minimum anyway, which is more practical as the the shops we went to were very quaint and small which would have made it a tight squeeze had there been more than 6 of us.
We couldn't resist buying some of the produce we tasted, the Olive oils and Balsamic vinegars were particularly good. All the shopkeepers were charming.
This is a mini tour not to be missed, made all the better by our fantastic guide.
This tour exceeded our expectations. It included a nice walking tour of some smaller streets of the city we had never seen, multiple stops at wonderful little shops and great food. I particularly enjoyed a private chat I had with a butcher while tasting different meats.
The guide was so knowledgable and friendly, this was our favorite tour!
EXCELLENT - We had a private tour guide and she was excellent! She walked us all over Florence and we tasted yummy foods while learning about the culture and history of Florence. Would highly recommend this tour it anyone I took my two daughers 18 and 22 and they loved our guide's info.. It was the highlight of our 18 day trip to Italy....
This was lots of fun. Our guide was very knowledgeable and planned our tour to include tastes of Florence including information about locally grown food. Thins was a great way to spend an afternoon and learn more about the local food and wine preferences.
We thoughly enjoyed this tour. It was a great mixture of historical, foodie and quirky bits of information. It was interesting to go arouddn the city learnign about its "food history" and sampling a great vareity of food, from traditional baked goods, to oils, gelato, cheese and truffles (both the chocolate and the fungus type). the tour guide had a good knowledge of not only Italian food but the history of Florenece in general. This tour was one of the highlights for our 12 year old daughter.
