The morning tour wasn't great..we had a hard time understanding our tour guide. Her voice was a bit shrill and didn't work well with the microphone and earphones.
In the afternoon, we had a tour guide from Holland..can't remember her name right now..but she was fantastic and did a great job of leading us through the Uffizi. We went through again on our own afterward and it was a bit less crowded. Make sure to plan to stay after the tour to re-view art and look at the rooms not covered in the tour. One room was excluded that we felt should have been pointed out ...the first room built on the second floor and now only viewable from the doorway. It was well worth seeing and our tour skipped it for some reason. You will see it on your own if you stay though.
3- stars for the morning
5 - stars for the afternoon

Great way to learn of the history of Florence - and relate some things back to North American history - real Statue of David and a interesting history of art in the Ufizzi Gallery

The walking tour in the morning was superb! I learned quite a lot, loved every minute of it, and thought the tour guide was incredible! The Uffizi Gallery tour was nice, but the tour guide spoke very quickly and was difficult to understand.

These guided tours are the best way to skip the lines and to ensure you see all the important things.

This is two different tours, so you'll be with some different people and with a different guide in the morning vs. the afternoon sessions. The highlight was the art history expert we had as our guide at the Uffizzi. Although, in general I found both tours and all stops to be engaging, fun and educational.

The first half of the day was interesting and nice to have a guide that could give us some history. The second half of the day was only the Uffizi Gallery. Our guide was very nice, but we could have done this on our own. It was worth getting the full day tour though just to be able to skip the lines at each Gallery.

Uffizi was definately worth it, Accademia was also nice but the tour was rather short. The city walking tour was something we could more or less manage without the tour, just with some internet search.

Morning tour was good. Guide was energetic. Museum workers were on strike so no museums. very disappointing.

Great tour, but unfortunately we had to wait in line for hours, even though we had passes that stated we didn't have to wait in line. Wasted too much time waiting around to get into the galleries. I'm sure they had no control over that, but the delays interferred with our time frame that shortened the tours.

The morning tour and the guide were awesome, but the afternoon was not good and the guide was average. 1/2 of it was excellent!

We did the full day tour and this is definitely worth the time. The guides are extremely helpful and knowledgable. The history behind the paintings and the full explanation of Michaelango's David was outstanding. We had a problem and it really was very unfortunate given the price for the tour per person and there were four of us on this tour. Our train ride from Lucca was longer than anticipated and we were late to meet our tour; that said we called the local number for Dark Rome and were told where we could find the tour to join. Our guide Anglea found us and she was simply the best; unfortunately our headsets (3 of the 4) did not work and the tour operator had no way to replace them. Our tour guide had to keep asking the others to let us up front to hear her and this caused some dismay among the group. We feel very strongly that the tour operator needs to provide a better means for these incidents. Once the tour starts there is still the possiblity of having technical problems and there should be a way for the tour guides to have access to outside help for replacement.

It was a little difficult to understand and repetitive. Audio device was just OK (ear buds). Some street noise was loud and competed with the guide. Skipped the lines as promised. Our second tour guide was called in at the last minute and was noticeably tired as she had come from her other job. Learned more from the Rick Steve's free download

Just the skipping the lines part was worth it.
The guide however was not great but it was okay.
