a knowledgable and friendly tour guide who paced herself with her audience and demonstrated a deep knowledge of her city

We were lucky to have a small group for this tour, there was plenty of opportunity for lots of questions! The guide was local and therefore very knowledgeable on Florence, provided us with a great deal of history and detail. Would highly recommend for an easy walking tour
Tour was great and so our guide. A small group of maybe ten people so it made it very personal. We had two different languages for the tour and that slowed it down some. A great way to get a nice overview of the city before exploring further on our own. Mike f
This was an informative overview of Florence and I would have missed the other side of the River and the great museum without the tour. Next visit I will probably stay on the South side of the river.
This was a great tour. Take this before starting out on your own, as the guide will tell you about places that aren't normal tourist attractions and you can add them to your itinerary for later.
2.5 hours of interest. An ideal way to start a visit to Florence. The cleverly chosen route gives a taste of the important aspects of Florence's renaissance and medieval history and leaves you in a strong position to chose what to explore further. The guide was informative, enthusiastic and sensitive to the needs of the group. I struggled a little with the strongly-accented English... a good reason to learn some Italian!
Our guide was very good and we explored all of the highlights of Florence. She was able to give history with a lot of interesting facts and details about the city. I highly recommend this tour to get acquainted with the city.
Best way to beat the queues and see all the main sites. Especially if you are short on time.
The tour was a great introduction to Florence and the spots to come back to later in the day. You don't go into any museums but are given an excellent background on them. There were no headsets so you need to stay close to the tour guide.
Guide was very good. But once again, the tour was offerd by CAF, as a local agency without any audio. We lost two folks during the tour whivh would mot have happen wigh some audio guide, which most guides have by the way, especially for walkkng tour in very crowded city.
We arrived slightly late but luckily found the tour not too far away from the meeting point after calling the tour operator office and being given helpful instructions about who the tour guide was that day. The tour guide was very informative and made sure we all stayed together as there were about 50 other tours happening in the city at the same time and its easy to get mixed up. Lots of walking but it was a lovely day and the time flew by. By the time we got to the final stop we were wishing it would continue! Overall a great start to our short stay in Venice!

An excellent way to start our first visit to the city.
Our guide not only showed us the main sites of Florence but also one two that we would never of found on our own,
It was short, compact and just what we wanted. I'd recommend it.

It was fine, but I expected a bit more. Maybe because the walking tour in Berlin was so absolutely fantastic. But it was good.
Walking tour is correct -- we only got into one small chapel. Tour guide Deborah was very good and knowledgeable. Wouldn't do a walking tour like this again.
Enjoyed the tour but we weren't especially impressed with Florence overall. It's a very big busy city with lots of people but it just felt as if it was all buildings, little walkways and lots of religious buildings.
Ok tour - bit hard to understand and wish we had walked into more places. This tour needs something else to make it really worth while.
This was an average tour. If you do it, do it at the beginning of your stay in Florence as an overview. The tour guide was challenged to do our tour in two languages - she was fluent, but this created pauses that were not helpful, other than for me to try to understand her Italian.
