The tour guide was there early to give us our tickets and explain everything to us. We loved going independent and planning our Day in Venice as we wished. It was an awesome Day.
A high speed train takes you from the central train station in Florence to the station in Venice for a full day tour of the beauty that is Venice and its many islands. A MUST, it is very comfortable on the train and the experience of 8 hours in Venice is easy as the main areas to see are within close proximity. The addition of the included vaporeto tickets water taxi with unlimited day use is great!
It was great!!!!!!! We loved it..Received our tickets.. Everything was on time..Train was wonderful, clean and nice..I would definitely do it again!!!!

I know it was expensive but we were so looking forward to this tour as we had got engaged in Venice 2 years before. The train station of Venice is well away from the hustle and bustle of St Marks square. At first we made advantage of the water taxi ticket we had been given and caught a boat to the glass making island of Murano. This took 45 minutes and its so beautiful. We came back to Venice for lunch and found a reasonably priced restaurant in the back streets. Afterwards we visited the Rialto bridge where we got engaged and took some photos before looking through the market. We boarded our train just after 5pm and watched the countryside while drinking wine and reminiscing on our 2 hour journey back to Florence.
This was so much fun and Venice is beautiful! Thanks Viator! I had a great time.
Loved the new train in Europe experience. Great hotel in Assissi. Thank you Rebecca Freek - can't wait to have you plan our next trip!
The tour package went smooth, was reliable, and definitely eased our planning for our day trip to Venice.

The train ride was fun and an easy way to get to spend a day in Venice. It was very easy and the information given by the meeting person at the train terminal made sure we understood exactly what we needed to do. Definitely a great choice!
it was good having it all arranged but to be honest think it could be done cheaper by arranging train at the station yourself as Venice was quite easy to get around
I loved this and would definitely recommend it. We met the tour guide at the train station. She gave us our train tickets, water taxi tickets, and a lot of information regarding travelling throughout Venice. Definitely worth the price.
We found the representative easily at the train station and her instructions made this an easy and enjoyable trip. Thanks so much for the adventure.
Great trip on high speed train at 300KPH. Tour agent met us at Florence railway station and clearly explained the travel arrangements and what we needed to do and where and when we needed to be there. Venice beautiful but check the tides for the square as it was very wet during our tour.
First off, i booked this for part of my wifes birthday surprise and a surprise it most certainly was! Neither of us had been to venice before and its just stunning. We met our ticket operator within the main station of florence which was easy, handed the tickets and the operator explained brilliantly what you needed to do to get your boat pass and where and when you needed to be on the train. Its a direct 2hr journey and couldnt have been made any simpler. So anyone could have an awesome day in venice like we did. We loved it!
Would we do it again or recommend it, we most certainly would!
Loved Venice, the train was on time and a great way to travel. One day is not enough time here.
The high speed train from Florence to Venice was fabulous and so comfortable and smooth! The boats in Venice to transport you from the train station down the Grand Canal were packed on a Monday no less! Felt like cattle and had to stand on just about all legs. That wasn't the fault of Viator...maybe another more expensive option for boat transportation. Also, at the Florence Station we had trouble finding who and where to meet. Some other tour had a Viator and the local travel agency sign at the entrance of the station. We had to call several times to find out where to meet. It all worked out and the representative was well prepared and very helpful with information.
Our tour guide was wonderful! She shared history and interesting facts about Venice with passion and enthusiasm! We highly recommend experiencing Venice via a boat tour, it was a great experience. Also, the boat had the option to be covered or open - which was helpful for a rainy day.
We enjoyed this trip very much and was impressed how quickly we got from Florence to Venice. The only thing we would have preferred was to have taken a later train back from Venice to Florence as it meant leaving Venice early as the Vaporettos are crowded and need time to get back to the Venice Station. Thanks Viator!
