After traveling from Florence to Piazzale Roma and taking a local vaporetto (public boat; not included in tour price), you will meet your local guide in Venice's spectacular city square, Piazza San Marco. Your guide will then lead you through the mysteries of St. Mark's Basilica, with its marvelous mosaics and celebrated bell tower. You'll pass the exterior of the Ducal Palace and cross the famous Bridge of Sighs, then take a stroll along the narrow Venetian lanes.

After lunch in an elegant Venetian restaurant (optional at your own expense) near Piazza San Marco, you will have free time to explore Venice at your leisure, before returning to Florence in the late evening.
