A totally brilliant adventure! Loved every single minute of driving that little critter, especially with the advice and assistance from the wonderful Andrea. One oft he best things I have ever done. Absolutely recommend this.
Absolutely amazing tour. One of the best experiences I've ever been part of. There was something magical about weaving through the narrow streets of the Tuscan countryside, flanked by vespers and willed on by wide eyed pedestrians, with even wider smiles.
We nearly missed the experience through the many diversions caused by the bike race, so were more than pleasantly surprised by the warm welcome received from the owner and our tour guide Mario. We really couldn't have asked for any more. If you have doubts about booking this, then don't it's worth every penny ... and the views of Florence, the best I've ever seen. And finally our tour guide Mario. One of the coolest people I've had the good fortune to meet. Such an enjoyable experience. Super in every sense of the word.
Loved this tour! Our highlight of Florence, and that's saying alot seeing as Florence sights and museums are hard to top.
This was a blast, only wish it lasted longer. It had been a long time since I had driven a manual transmission and enjoyed every minute of it.
Brilliant !! Well worth the money. Guide was great. We stopped throughout the tour for information, photos. I was shocked that some of the roads he took us down were two way !!! I couldn't believe it. Need nerves of steel to drive down some of the roads ... and being only a small group - on our day 3 cars and 3 Vespas it was nice and friendly. After a brilliant morning we returned to Florence for a lovely lunch of cold meats, cheeses, wine etc all in price - would thoroughly recommend this tour.
Nerve wrecking as we normally drive on the other side of the road but really enjoyable. Guide was excellent. If you want a bit of fun and laughter do it!
Was a great experience with great people and a fantastastic guide (Andrea). I totally recommend this tour.
Fantastic fun - your face just lights up when you see these beautiful little cars waiting for you in the garage, and as you race through the city streets, tooting your horn just for the fun of it, everyone looks around, smiles and the cameras snap. Great experience, great visits, a good sociable meal at the end. Stephano a great guide and carefully looks out for everyone at busy areas. Highly recommended.
This was one of the highlights of our visit to Florence. Chris and Andrea were great guides and were very aware of the group's safety. The vintage cars were very cool! We were able to see lots of areas that are not commonly included on other tours. The food at the end of the tour was very good. Chris and Adrea were very knowledgable about the area, food and customs of the area. Great tour!!!
Fantastic. A perfect way to see the sights. Stefano was the best tour guide. At the end of the tour we go to a little restaurant for wine and italian cuisine which was a great way to end the tour. We would definitely recommend this tour to anyone wanting a fun and unique tour.
This was a highlight of Florence. Our guide Chris was awesome and the meal we got after was fabulous. Beautiful views of Florence. We would definitley recommend it to anyone. There were Vespas' for those who preferred a bike over a car.
it was a great way to see tuscany and its great landscape. Ohh what fun.
We loved this trip. Our guide, Angel, was very enthusiastic and really did a terrific job. The trip ended up being a little different than advertised.. we had a combination Vespa/Auto trip. It just made the trip more interesting. We stopped by the wayside and let a wedding party use our equipment for photo props. We expeceted a "cheapo" lunch in a "dive", but we ate in a very nice mom and pop deli. We got our money's worth and then some.
The Fiat Cinqecento tour of the Tuscan countryside was a blast. Driving a vintage Cinqecento was a bit daunting at first—the cramped interior, rough ride, the non-sequential gearbox, the stiff clutch and the glorified lawnmower engine meant being extra vigilant about the car and your driving. But after a short while one becomes quickly accustomed to this truly unique driving experience. Let’s face it, this is what REAL driving is all about. Offsetting the challenges of the car is its go kart like handling which makes maneuvering through the tight (and I do mean TIGHT) roads all that much more fun. Although the Tuscan countryside is only minutes away, the Cinqecento’s slower engine means a longer and more scenic and enjoyable drive. We stopped at several locations that provided wonderful views of the countryside and of Florence itself (great photo ops). In our group that day were three cars and two Vespas (one ridden by our guide, Freddy, an American expat). The weather that day was sunny and warm, making the drive that much more pleasant. It was not without incidents however—a detached battery lead in our car led to stalling in the middle of an intersection, which meant several anxious minutes until Freddy came to our rescue. He quickly got the car out of harms’ way and fixed the problem and we were on our way shortly. Later on, a couple on the Vespa had an unsolicited contact with a ditch and then a wall, resulting in some skinned knees and hands. Fortunately the accident happened right outside a daycare and the nurse inside patched up the wounds quickly. We ended the half-day tour with a light lovely lunch of meats and cheeses and wine. Highly recommend for driving enthusiasts. (P.S. In case you haven’t figured it out by now, you must know how to drive stick for this tour.)
