Guide was good. Too bad we can't get closer to the main features of Sienna on the bus, long walk. Same in San Gimignano, the guide should have but did not, told us that there is a local bus available to take us up to the top of the San Gimignano hill.

Great trip, better if time left in the museum with our free time so could see other things than one room the guide showed us. Nice to have free time in Siena and San Gimignano.

The Siena portion of the tour was terrific. The guide was very informative and there was a nice balance of listening, looking, and walking. We were left on our own in San Gimignano, which seemed more like Disneyland than an ancient town. It was way too commercial, and there was not enough time to truly explore the towns beauty and history.

This is a beautiful way to view the smaller areas and experience the true flavor and history outside of Rome.

Commentary on the bus was good. The guide in Siena was wonderful, informative, and entertaining. The time spent in Sam Gimignano was too brief and I wasn't able to properly enjoy it.

The bus trip was excellent, and the tour guide was charming and very fluent in both French and English. There was a mix-up when we got to Siena. It seems that the local guide was "missing," so we had to walk around BEFORE the introduction to Siena, which was a bit if a disappointment. But still and all, this medieval city was charming, and San Gimignano was even more so.

We loved Siena and San Gimignano and wished that we had planned to stay at one of these locations during our trip. The guide on this tour was very good, she spoke English, Italian and Spanish and was very knowledgeable.

I loved San Gimignano, but wanted more time there. It was too much of a rush. The Cathedral in Siena is worth seeing too, as is Campo Square. I would recommend making separate tours to each of these places to give them their due. If you want a brief, quick snapshot of each, I'd spend the funds to take this tour. The group will be large and theirs will not be the personal feeling that the "Taste of Italy" tour offers.

The Tuscany wine country was breathtaking - a must see! However, I would have really liked to have spent longer than an hour in San Gimignano. It was quainter than Siena and I felt a little rushed.

Day trip was nice, guides informative, bus fairly comfortable. Guide for Siena was wonderful, but when we arrived in San Gimignano, we had no guide and were given only 45 minutes to an hour to peruse this wonderful medieval city on our own. That was most definitely not enough time. Would have preferred a day trip just to San Gimignano.

We enjoyed the comfortable bus and knowledgeable guide. The bus guide spoke a little too often and the volume was far too loud, we needed to place our fingers in our ears for much of the time. Having three languages did cause additional "noise pollution", but that would not have been a problem if the commentary had been a bit softer. The local guide was informative and spoke good English, although it was often difficult to hear. The length of the tour was good for us as a "mature" couple. I can't recall whether the advance information indicated walking shoes. If not, I would certainly recommend you mention to wear flat shoes due to cobblestones and uneven ground. It was an enjoyable day and a good value for the money.

This tour gave us a very good overview of the two towns.

This was a great bus trip; we just wish that we'd had more time in both towns. We were lucky enough to have a great guide in Siena. We loved San Gimignano, but wished we had more time.

The tour was well organized, and the guides were knowledgeable and helpful. I am glad to have booked the tour - found it good value for the price.
