Lorenzo was an excellent guide. Organized, polite, attentive. Tour itself was excellent, contrasting the larger towns and the small fortress that is Monteriggioni. Nice to have the time to enjoy it, and go in a van to places tour buses would find difficult to navigate.
This tour was amazing! We had a wonderful guide who was very knowledgeable about the area and history. It was a great day!
The tour ended up being a private tour given lack of demand on the date requested. That change was a bit bumpy with the local service provider but in the end it all worked out. It gave us a lot of flexibility and these towns are amazing to experience. Our driver/guide was fantastic.
An excellent tour, we really recommend it. It is a small tour with max 8 people. The guide was very friendly, helpful and flexible with what could be done when visting the different areas.
We enjoyed this tour. The guide really knew the history of the area.
Having done this tour last year in a large bus it was a pleasure to do it with 6 people in total in a lovely Mercedes Van. Our guide Anthony was just like travelling with a family friend. He was so helpful and gave us lots of facts. This was a very relaxing day with enough time in each town to really look around. I think this is the best way to see Tuscany.
Our group of seven had a private tour which was just perfect with plenty of time to enjoy the stops. Tiberious, our guide was so professional and informative, we couldn't have asked for a better guide. The medieval fortress of Monterriggioni was amazing. The whole trip was a delight.
This was a great tour, particularly as there were only 7 in the group plus the driver. it was nice to get out of Florence and into the countryside. The cathedral in Siena was just amazing, perhaps one of the best I saw in all Italy. We had time to ourselves in both places which was great.
Tour was terrific. Highly recommended. Both places were amazing and tour guide was great.
Very enjoyable day with our very informative guide, Mauricio (sp?). Definitely glad I picked this "small group" tour with the van (6 passengers + driver) over the large bus because he was able to get into the towns -- especially Siena -- much closer than the large buses can. Drove us through some interesting and picturesque neighborhoods and always full of lots of information. Even though he said he's been doing this for 16 years and probably has his "spiel" on auto-pilot, he didn't make it sound that way and answered all of our additional questions.
The trip to Siena and San Gimignano was fantastic. Our driver, Maurio, met us on time at the designated place which was easy to find. It was difficult for me to get through on the phone to confirm the reservation 24 hours ahead of time as requested so I was anxious about the meeting plan. The van was a luxury Mercedes Benz with all the anemities. Maurio was a fantastic driver who told us a lot about the places we passed. His love for the beauty of his country was contagious. He told us interesting facts about Siena and San Gimignano and Greve and wine making. He immediately gave us a choice as to which roads to drive which got the group to discuss and decide. I only wish that the trip could have been a little longer. We met at 8:45 and were back by 5:00 and it was not enough time to explore the towns, but a wonderful taste for a longer visit next time.
Our guide Jonathan was a perfect host, driver and guide for the day. He knows the area, listens to the needs of the guests, and was fun to share the day with in a nice Mercedes Van
Good tour although we were crowded in a "small" van. Guide provided good descrption of areas visited.
Jonathan was a wonderful guide and incredibly knowledgeable about anything we threw his way. It was our first tour with Viator and the reason we scheduled two more while in Italy. The tour was so much fun. The cathedral in Siena was only second to St. Peters Basilica in the Vatican. Unfortunately, the hills were two much for us to maneuver to explore the city and therefore we spent more time there as free time than we liked. The last stop, San Gimignano was our favorite and we could have spent more time there. Would definitely recommend this tour and Viator.
