What You Can Expect

Skip the Line: Florence Vasari Corridor with Optional Boboli Gardens Ticket

Upgrade to explore the glorious Boboli Gardens at your leisure

Your tour will begin at the Palazzo Vecchio, where you’ll join up with your guide before heading to the Uffizi Gallery. Bypass the main entrance lines with your skip-the-line ticket and go straight inside to access the Vasari Corridor.

The Vasari Corridor was constructed in the 16th century, commissioned by Cosimo I. The secret passageway connected the Pitti Palace to the Ufffizi Gallery on the opposite side of the Arno River, and was rumored to allow the members of the powerful Medici family to roam stealthily through the city.

Today, the Vasari Corridor contains one of the world’s most impressive collections of self-portraits, along with Renaissance paintings and sculptures. Admire works from masters such as Rubens, Rembrandt and Velazquez, while checking out views of the Ponte Vecchio from the hushed corridor's circular windows. Learn about the history of the artwork from your guide as you stroll, along with secret stories about the pathway.

Your tour will conclude after an hour, exiting near the Boboli Gardens.

Skip-the-Line Boboli Gardens Entrance Ticket Upgrade:
After your guided tour of the Vasari Corridor, enjoy free time to purchase lunch before entering the beautiful Boboli Gardens with your skip-the-line ticket.

The gardens date back to the 15th century and were enlarged by the Medicis, later inspiring other famous European gardens, including Versailles. Explore at your own pace, admiring the plants, fountains and sculptures that dot the grounds. Amble around the grand monuments, including the amphitheater and 18th-century follies such as the Kaffehaus and Buontalenti Grotto.

Feel free to lounge around the gardens until closing time.

Wonderful experience with a small group. The Vasari Corridor is not widely known which is a plus for visitors. Excellent guide using headphones so that we could look and listen. Along the walls are the most wonderful self-portraits of all the well-known artists from earlier times to modern. Wonderful views from all the windows along the way with plenty of time to photograph, not at all hurried.

With a small group it was easy to hear the guide. As is was a timed entry we were separated from the other groups and so had plenty of space to look at everything in peace and quiet. It was a very interesting experience for those of us who had an interest in art and renaissance history. I loved being able to look down on the crowds mingling around on the bridge below us and imagining what it must have been like in the time of the Medicis.
