We slept in and missed our tour! Luckily we were able to still get our tickets to the museum! No trouble at all.
This was a highly enjoyable experience. Our guide was very interested in sharing with us an extensive history and biography of MIchangelo. His suggestions for photo ops resulted in great photo memories. Although the guided portion of this museum trip did not include the entire museum, be sure to explore the room with the plaster busts and view the short video there. There is also an exhibit of musical instruments in this museum that should not be missed
Michelangelo's David and his unfinished works are a must, they are breathtakingly wonderful
The tour guide was excellent. Her English was good and she was very well informed. I would definitely recommend it!
The guide was extremely knowledgeable and fascinating as well as fun. She was very understanding of my need to be in a wheel chair and really wanted me to see everything as well as the others. I give her an A+ on flexibility!
Probably the best tour guide in our trip, Antonio I think is his name. Extremely passionate about the subject. I had goosebumps a couple of times just the way he said things. Very interesting walk around the gallery!! Lots of stuff to see, and of course the main attraction: David!!
A really knowledgeable guide and fascinating insight into how sculptors worked. We learnt so much.
It was wonderful! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable. We learned so much more than if we had tried this without a guide. I would highly recommend it.
Our guide was knowledgeable and passionate about the works in the Accademia.
The tour was excellent and the guide very knowledgeable. It was not too long, but long enough to see the most important parts of the museum. And, the best thing was, we did not have to wait hours in line to get in.
Excellent tour. Skip the line is a must. I used my own earbuds rather than the ones provided, and that was so much clearer and easier to hear.
Our guide was awesome. She really knew the history and was so passionate about it. She shared great info about Michelangelo that gave us a new appreciation of his work and others who studied under him.
The David was stunning!
Marlena was our guide and she was amazing! We really enjoyed how she helped us look deeper at art and differences between artists. I would recommend this tour!
This was a great tour - our guide was energetic, outgoing and funny. He spoke excellent English and took his time to go through the sites and answer questions. Its a nice short tour 1.5 hours and was an excellent experience. Highly recommended. Easy to find and very fun!
Wonderful - guide was very knowledgeable - David was fantastic - well worth doing.
This was a really enjoyable and informative tour. Our guide was both knowledgable and enthusiastic about the sculpture and artwork and was able to provide such fascinating snippets of information to bring the artists and their work to life. Although the museum was busy we did not feel rushed and were encouraged to view the works from various vantage points to enhance our appreciation and understanding. After the guided tour was over we were able to spend time at leisure exploring the rest of the works on display. The 'skip the line' entry was a must to avoid long queues. I would highly reccommend this tour!
"Skip the line" is the only way to do this tour. You will still have a wait, but nothing like the endless general admission line. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining about Michelangelo's life and the way he worked. Definitely enhanced our understanding. David is truly a masterpiece, not to be missed if you have limited time in Florence. (The photo used for this tour is, ironically, the copy of David that is outside, the real one is indoors at the Accademia where photos used to be banned, but now are allowed)
The tour guide, Anna, was very knowledgeable. You will have to wait in the groups line, but that's something everyone has to do. In the meantime she gave us general information about Florence and recommended what other places to visit, which I really appreciate and made the waiting less of a deal.
