Well worth booking in advance, guide was excellent. Went at 4.30 p.m. and gallery closed at 6.30 p.m. so did not have much free time after tour.

Excellent guide, fascinating history of the development of art, and fabulous paintings to look at. Marred by comment of American who on having another Madonna and Child explained, said 'seen one, seen em all'.

After seeing the line at the Uffizi, I can't see how anyone would not want to make arrangements to skip it. The commentary by our guide was excellent - she exhibited a lot of passion and knowledge about her subject.

Brilliant! I immediately bought a copy of a very good history on the Medici family by Paul Strathern Pimlico 2005 and I don't think I'll ever forget the Uffizi Gallery.

The tour guide was excellent and worth the money. After the tour you can still peruse the rest of the gallery that was not included in the tour.

If you only have a short time to see the Uffizi, and do not want to waste this time in line, this is the tour for you. The guide was very good, quickly presenting the major themes and the chronological development of Renaissance painting, focusing only on the indispensable works.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and had a passion for the artwork he was describing to our group. I highly recommend spending the money for the guide and to skip the long lines we saw at 8:30 a.m. on a Tuesday morning in the Summer. I would recommend the guide hold up a Viator sign to help locate him.

Prebooking is essential for the visit, and having a guide makes the tour even more worthwhile. Party size of about 20 people is OK. Best time to visit with the guide is the last entrance time at 4.30 p.m.
