This was definitely a trip highlight. I had so much fun I immediately booked another cooking class for the following day.
This was a really excellent day - we were upgraded from the half day cooking class at no extra cost and went out into the beautiful Tuscan countryside. The staff were extremely nice when one of the party was feeling unwell. The food was delicious and the Chianti only served to enhance the mood and break the ice with the others in the group - we had a good giggle. Would recommend this class as a really good experience.
We so enjoyed this cooking experience the staff was very entertaining and informative!!!! We enjoyed the trip to the market and making a full dinner!!!
This was the high light of our tour of Italy. Chefs David and Allen, made it fun, educational, entertaining and delicious. We can't wait to try out our new skills at home
Amazing experience! Alex was an incredible tour guide and chef. We learned a lot, ate a lot, and had a great time. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys Italian food.
This was part of a family vacation for us. 6 adults We had a great time. We visited the market briefly and got some great insights into Italian food. Then we moved on to the kitchen to make tiramisu and homemade pasta, which we promptly consumed for lunch. It was one of the highlights of our time in Firenze.
We loved every minute of this tour! It made our day! Our chefs were very personable and we actually can't wait to share our menu and new skills with our family when we get home! We also loved the tour of the Markato Centrale. Fascinating and very informative. We went back the next day and explored it again.
We were upgraded to a higher-value tour with only 4 total people so this may not be directly relevant. The walk through the market was great. We were actually taken through a smaller market rather than the central one, which actually let us walk more freely and talk with the vendors. The cooking class was really well done and the food we prepared was fantastic, despite using very few ingredients. Giovanni was a great teacher and we picked up copies of the recipes to make at home. Would highly recommend.
Alain and Alesso took us through an amazing tour of Italian cuisine. A very fun day and very educational as well.

This was amazing! Davide and Andrea did an amazing job of showing us the market, what the chefs look for in the quality of their ingredients, and recommendations on what we should eat with our time here.
The cooking part was really fun. We made dessert and part of the meal, and then got to enjoy it with wine and talking with our group. A great mini getaway in this amazing city.

I have never prepared a meal before. It surprised me how much I enjoyed cooking up a couple of delectable Italian specialties. The instructors were informative and very entertaining.
Book this tour at the last minute and so glad I did! Alessio and Alain were fantastic and fun! Can't wait to try what I learned at home!

Absolutely the most fun filled afternoon ever. The high light of our stay in Florence. Making the sauces and pasta were fun, but enjoying the results was even better. Next tour, we will use viatour for making our trips special and memorable.
We had a great time, loved the chefs, learned about Tuscan cooking, enjoyed the wine paring and eating what we made. Highly recommended.
This was a highlight of our 15 day tour in Europe. My wife and I had outstanding teachers and a wonderful group of people taking the class. We enjoyed the market tour prior to the cooking class as well and loved sampling cheeses, oils, and learning about the specialties of Italy. Eating our creations was also a lot of fun. I recommend this tour to anyone wanting to have a hands-on experience with Italian cooking in the heart of beautiful Florence.
We attended this class our first day in Florence. We figured if we were eating Italian food for 2 weeks, it would be great to know how it is prepared. We started with a walk through the Centrale Market visiting local butchers and bakers, picking up our groceries, and having a personal tasting of olive oil and balsamic. After a short walk to the classroom kitchen, we donned our aprons and got to work preparing tiramisu and bolognese. Our chefs were fabulous, not only directing hands on preparation, but educating us with the history of their recipes! We so enjoyed the comraderie of our cooking partners during a a sit down delightful lunch with chianti. We learned so much and can hardly wait to host an Italian dinner at home with our friends! We had such a great time, we booked the pizza and gelato class a few days later and my husband doesn't even cook!. The recipe book was a bonus. Magnifico!!
Me, my husband and two sons took this class while visiting Florence. I booked this based on previous reviews and was not disappointed! It was a lot of fun. Not only was our chef Alain great, but the other travelers who were on the tour were a blast as well. Good people! I do cook a little and it was fun to learn some new things not to mention eating and drinking all day. Make sure when you go that you are hungry. I do have to admit that I was not a fan of tiramisu and was a little bummed that was the dessert we made in the class, but I have to say the tiramisu in Italy was so much better than what I have had in the states! Guess I will have to come back :. Even if you don't cook you will enjoy this class. Thank you Chef Alain and Viator.

So glad we decided to take this class. We started in the market, getting a presentation on truffles and amazing tastings, then on to the cooking school, where we were expertly instructed by Andrea, Giulio, and Daniel, to make tiramisu, tagliatelle, bolognese sauce with a vegetarian alternative, and ricotta ravioli with a butter sauce. We also got an overview of aperitivos, including bruschetta, garlic bread, pesto, and lessons on balsamic vinegar and truffles. Fun and funny guys who are true professionals and very personable.
I went to Florence with my daughter, who was in Conferences and Lectures all day. I was hesitant to take this class because I was by myself. I am so happy I booked this tour. It was truly the highlight of the trip, and that is not a sales pitch, it is from the heart. I met some amazing people in my class from all over the world, Davida, Danielle and our main guide, Julio were great. The tour of the Central Market was inspiring before we returned to the Apartment for our cooking lesson. I love to cook and I can honestly say that I have never been a part of anything like this before. I learned some really helpful tips and information during this class. And, in the end, the food that we made, was the most delicious meal I had in Italy. Seriously, don't let this deal pass you by, it is truly worth every penny!!
