It was OK, but could have been better

This was a laugh, but a bit chaotic. There were four preparation tables, each with six or seven people, but only two chefs to guide us. This meant that sometimes we were standing around wondering what to do next. There was no mention at all of choosing wines to go with the food which was supposed to be one of the aims of the evening.

There were 36 people there and only 2 chefs and one chef left in the middle of class. The last person was running around to all the cooking areas trying to keep us on track. Try another cooking school.

There were too many people to a group to be truly enjoyable. We had six people cooking one dish/meal. They had to put out extra tables so that we could all enjoy the meal afterwards. However, we were limited to only one glass of wine per person. It would of been better with fewer people in each group.

Our enjoyment of this class came from meeting other people. The chef did a lot of the cooking for us. The four-course meal was great, but it was only entertaining because of the personalities of the participants. We didn't learn much about Tuscan cooking, but we can now make gnocchi.

For anyone that was an experienced cook, it was nothing new or adventurous. The chefs were fun, however, the session began late and we waited for half of the class, which never even showed up in the end.

This is a huge waste of money! The description specifically stated 'match suitable wines' and 'served with accompanied by matching wines'. They gave out menus and the first sheet in huge letters states 14 bottle of chianti wine only and then gave prices for anything else we would want.
Well, to start off they couldn't have given us cheaper ingredients. They were so cheap that only half of the stuffed raviolis had pasta. The recipe calls for a chicken but believe me there was no chicken just the wings. We could have gone out and had a great meal for 180 for my husband and myself. The experience was wonderful but they packed us in and we felt taken! They gave us 2 glasses of wine and removed the bottles from the table immediately after. They overbooked so many people they had to bring out temporary tables for us all to eat. Each of us would take turns mixing a bowl!!!!!

I was so looking forward to this and was so disappointed in the experience. There were too many people in the class. We were crowded at the cooking table and the eating tables. There was nothing about pairing wines and meals as described. The food was pretty good, but I felt like I couldn't participate as much as I wanted because there were way too many people. I would look for a different cooking course. I did enjoy the people I met.
