What You Can Expect
Vespa Tour in the Chianti
Depart Florence in a comfortable, air-conditioned minivan and travel to the Tuscany countryside. The scooter tour will begin with a 30 minute "orientation session" so you can practice on the Vespa scooter until you feel comfortable and ready to go out and conquer the famous Chianti wine region in Tuscany on your own. (It is highly recommended that you have previous driving experience on a Vespa, scooter or motorcycle – please see the Safety Notice below.) Vespa small-group day trip is limited to maximum 10, ensuring you'll receive personalized attention from your guide.
Ride along quiet and scenic country roads offering splendid views of the rolling hillside and visiting different small medieval villages in the heart of Tuscany. Next, you will stop for lunch at a castle to taste Tuscan specialities with a little tasting of some of the most famous Chianti wines and olive oils, locally produced.
Vespas are appropriate for anyone aged 18 and older. You must present a valid drivers license. Note, you do not need a motorcycle license. Children 12-18 years can join the tour as a passenger. Choose from the single scooter option or share with a friend on a double scooter - the choice is yours!

Previous driving experience on a Vespa, scooter or motorcycle is highly recommended and highly advantageous. Your safety is the tour guide’s first and foremost concern. The tour guide reserve the right of final judgment in your participation of Vespa-driving at any point during the tour. If the guide determines you are unable to drive your scooter at a safe level, you will not be allowed to continue driving. If available, you will either ride double with a partner or on the back of the guide’s scooter. However, you might also be required to get off the Vespa all together and ride in the support minivan that follows the tour. No refunds will be granted in these cases.
