Thoroughly enjoyed this tour of an ancient city - at least by American standards. Loved the world's largest Christmas shop and shopping in the quaint shops all over town. Be prepared for walking the cobblestone streets with good walking shoes.

I enjoyed this trip very much. There were only two of us in the group, so they took us in a top of the line car instead of a van or bus. It was rather luxurious. Rothenberg is very unique. There was a band in the main square playing music which was a surprise treat.

Great city. Our young guide was knowledgable and fun. Took us around Rothenburg as an orientation then left us on our own for a few
hours to sightsee. Then threw in a brief city tour of Frankfurt as a bonus as there were only 3 of us. An enjoyable tour.

We were only 2 on this tour so we traveled by private car which was very nice. That being said, not much is said on the tour...I dont know if it would make more sense to just take the train to Rothenburg and visit the Crime and Punishment museum and church on your own.

The city was great. But being crammed into a warm van with 4 other people for over 2 hours each way was awful. Don't count on the "lunch or snack". It was sandwiches with mayo and juice boxes that were left in the sun half the day.
