You'll then travel to a land where only fairytales exist! Step into the magical world of Castle Neuschwanstein, as you visit this breathtakingly majestic castle built on the ruins of "Vorder- und Hinterhohenschwangau".

Itinerary
Depart from Frankfurt for a picturesque drive through the Spessart mountains to Wuerzburg, on the banks of the river Main. Continue along the Romantic Road to Rothenburg Ob der Tauber, Germany's well-preserved 'Jewel of the Middle Ages', with its ramparts, city gates and town hall. See the Jakobskirche (church) with an altar built by the famous wood-carver, Tilman Riemenschneider. Upon arrival in Rothenburg, a taxi will take you to your hotel. In the afternoon or evening join the city walk with a local guide or historic Night Watchman in Rothenburg.

Day 2: Rothenburg - Hohenschwangau (B)
After breakfast, a taxi will meet you at your hotel and take you to the bus stop. Your coach drives along the Romantic Road passing such the picturesque villages of Dinkelsbuhl, Nordlingen and Donauworth with their high gabled houses and cobbled stone streets. You'll arrive in Hohenschwangau via Augsburg a metropolis for trade during the middle ages.

Day 3: Hohenschwangau - Munich (B)
Your entrance tickets for the Neuschwanstein Castle are waiting for you at the front desk of your hotel. Visit the famous 'Cinderella Castle', built by King Ludwig II. This castle brings back memories of children's fairy tale stories. A breathtaking sight in the Pollat River gorge, the castle was well equipped with revolutionary (at that time) technical devices. In the late afternoon proceed to Munich, where your tour ends at approximately 7.00pm.

Fantastic tour! Rothenburg was lovely. Make sure to do the Night Watchman tour! Southern Bavaria spectacular, just like a fairy tale. Great way to get to Munich!!

This part of our trip to Germany was the highlight for me. Seeing medieval cities was absolutely awesome. The castles at Hoenschwangau were amazing. I would definitely recommend this trip.
