If you have the time don't miss out on this tour. Beautifully scenery, great hotels for your overnight stays. The small towns overnight stays and Neuschwanstein Castle are a dream.

The 3d/2n Romantic Road tour was excellent.
All hotels were above average and bus trips went smoothly.
Even though our itinerary and vouchers were not at waiting for us upon our arrival at our hotel the night before our trip--the tour company somehow got all our papers to us while we were on our tour.
The Bavarian Alps are beautiful and the towns are interesting. Also, it is a worthwhile way to get from Frankfurt to Munich.

Wonderful tour! Good drivers, nice accommodations, and great locations. We were in Rothenburg during their festival, not sure that was the best timing, locals didn't like it, but we thought it was fine. Neuschwanstein Castle was amazing!

I highly recommend this! Beautiful town, castles and breath-taking scenery. I would think that this tour will be perfect if there is an additional night at Hotel Muller (between Neuschwanstein Castle and Hohenschwangau Castle) in summer. This will give us more time to enjoy Alpsee lake or to discover the hiking trails around gorge at Marien Brücke (Mary's Bridge).

This was a wonderful trip and I'd do it again in a heartbeat! This trip allowed us to see the small German town of Rothenburg, a gem of a town we normally would have missed. Our favorite day on our 25 day Europe trip was our day at the castles as well. We did both castles in one day and took a boat ride on the most beautiful lake either of us had ever seen, with the castles and the foothills of the Alps nestled around us. The accommodations are excellent and the bus tour was welcoming and informative. My only suggestion to the tour is to skip some of the smaller towns where it's only a 5-minute picture stop. Those stops, though interesting, made the bus ride longer than it needed to be.

This trip was a lovely surprise. As Individual travellers you are given vouchers to join buses along the Romantic Road and vouchers for WONDERFUL hotels and tours etc,. This was well organised but plenty of free time to relax at the same time,

This was worth our trip to Germany! It was perfect!! The hotels, the romantic road, the stops. Where to begin... On the big coach we had us and 1 other couple on this journey. We left Frankfurt and made stops along the way for photos. We arrived in our 1st overnight in Rothenburg at the parking lot where we were met by our taxi driver. He dropped off the 1st couple at "Hotel Spitzweg" then on to our hotel a boutique Hotel Goldene Rose. Wow, what a beautiful hotel, friendly host and excellent breakfast. The most beautiful town and friendly people. Got a gorgeous "black forest" cuckoo clock and steins at "Kathe Wohlfahrt Christmas store. (they shipped perfectly) DO NOT miss the Night Watchman tour. He was so interesting and entertaining. Tickets are provided. Great views of city on this tour. Next day we traveled to Hotel Muller at Hohenschwangau. Excellent breakfast, best in Europe! Loved the castle on the 3rd day, tickets provided. Walkded down to Fussen enjoyed every minute of this trip. You are on your own, the driving is taken care of for you and it was a relaxing and perfect way to see the romantic road and castle. Excellent value!! While on the road the drivers had great info to share. Would love to go back. I would not miss the chance to do this one again. Another fantastic trip with Viator, Thank You!! 5 Stars!!!

Wonderful! Beautiful! We had a really great time on the "Romantic Road" trip. All of the details, hotel rooms, tours, were absolutely wonderful! This was our first time using Viator and we will certainly book again. Price, value, experience, couldn't have been more perfect!

Well worth the price paid. Everything worked well - the transport and accommodation was first class. The hotels that were booked were top quality. I recommend the nightwatchman's tour in Rothenburg. You are given a choice of that or the day tour and I opted for the night one. The nightwatchman was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. This was a great way to see the Romantic Road - plenty of photo opportunity stops along the way.

We had a wonderful experience. The buses were nice, the drivers and staff at Touring (the local company) went out of their way to make sure our experience went smoothly. The hotels were charming and clean with excellent service. I will book through Viator again.

This trip was wonderful, and it was perfect for us. We needed to get from Frankfurt to Munich and wanted to see some of Germany while doing so. The towns and villages we saw along the way were so quaint and charming. We had plenty of rest stops, and occasionally stopped to go into a church or museum. Our hotels the two nights we spent on the way were comfortable and very conveniently located for sightseeing, and we had plenty of time to do some sightseeing and shopping. We highly recommend this trip.
