This was a fabulous tour. The tour itself was breathtaking. The lunch at restaurant L'M was superb. Not enough time to go down to the glaciers though and the tour guide, although thorough in reviewing our itinerary, could have been a little friendlier. Seems like he's been doing this for a while and it sounded at times like we were being scolded, otherwise it was a tour I'll never forget, just amazing. Thank you VIATOR!

Although the weather was uncooperative, the tour was wonderful. Chamonix is a wonderful little town. Being able to ride a two-stage cable car was an experience, as well as riding a little train up to "Mer de Glace." The glacier is amazing. The tour was well worth it. They even cleaned the bus before picking us back up to go back to Geneva, so I was able to take more pictures. Our tour guide was friendly and helpful.

We really enjoyed this trip. Chamonix is one of the most beautiful villages I have ever visited. If we had known, though, how tight the schedule was with the lunch, we would have given it a miss and spent a little more time at the top of the mountain and arranged for more time up at the glacier. Having lunch cut into time that could have been spent sightseeing, and in this wonderful area we would easily forgo lunch to just look around at the magnificent scenery and perhaps do some souvenir shopping. We would still fully recommend this trip though. The scenery was stunning! Our tour guide has, I think, been doing this job way too long and wasn't the greatest host we have ever had. Also, the start point at the bus station was not very helpful about telling you which bus you should be on, as there is no sign, so you have to keep your wits about you or you may miss your bus. The tour operator could really improve that part of the operation. If the company set up assembly points for each of the tours, that would help.

Great tour. Our guide was great and spoke clear English and French. The tour is busy, so you don't get much free time to explore Chamonix. The weather was cloudy the day we went up, so we didn't get to see much of Mont Blanc. Lunch was actually very good. Mer de Glace was well worth seeing also.

I would recommend this day tour to anyone. The guide was extremely friendly and helpful, and never overbearing. The itinerary gave us enough time to see everything we wanted and the meal was superb. 10 out of 10.

This was the best thing the kids did while in Europe. The Alps totally outdo the Rockies and the Tetons. It was too bad we could not go into the glacier cave, but the glacier was still amazing!

This was an extremely well-managed excursion. The ideal trip into the mountains for any age group. Our guide was brilliant. A big THANK YOU!

This was a wonderful trip with a bad ending. The mountains were spectacular. Lunch was excellent, but drinks are not included, so bring some money. The glacier cave was worth the long walk down those three hundred steps. The bus wasn't pre-cooled, and the bus driver was rude about the temperature. Even after the bus was in motion, the air conditioning was minimal. After a long tiring day, the last thing that we needed was extreme heat and stops at other stations for the downstairs passengers. Finally the tour guide let us go downstairs, since it was a little tiny bit cooler down there. All said, it was a wonderful trip that I would do again. I hope the tour company fixes their air conditioners and gets better drivers. It's really important the the guide and driver are a team!

I now know how it feels to be at such a high altitude. The trip is well organised and the tour guide told us exactly what he expected of us.

The cable car was closed, but a refund for that was given. To be honest, a lot of people on the bus just took the bus and then made their own itinerary in Chamonix. If I was giving advice, that would be mine. The full trip didn't provide any benefits over that, it would be easy just to take the bus, and buy your own cable car and train tickets, and then you are free to do it in your own time rather than having a fixed time for the organized lunch. The lunch itself was OK, but I would have preferred to eat where I wanted to eat. The guide organized things well in terms of making sure you knew where to be at what time, but that was the extent of his role. The trip was the highlight of my visit to Geneva though.
