Breathtaking scenery, walking through the glacier was something I thought I would never do. Squeezed a lot in during the day without feeling rushed at any point.

Weather was not great, but the guide and experience were excellent.

This was an excellent trip in every way. The cable car to the summit of Aiguille du Midi offers fantastic views of the Alps and Mont Blanc (at 4807m incorrectly claimed by the tour operators as the highest peak in Europe; this is Mount Elbrus in Russia at 5642 meters). The lunch included in the trip comprised three excellent courses and exceeded my expectations. The little cog railway to the Mer de Glace was also fun, with spectacular views along the route. The glacier itself was covered in rocks and did not initially look like ice. You can take a small cable car down into the valley and then descend a further on foot onto the glacier itself. Caves have been cut into the glacier and it is an unusual experience to wander through them. All in all this is a terrific trip and an absolute must if you have not been among snow-covered mountain peaks.

The cost is really pretty high. I liked that you were trying to do bus pickups in the towns to bring in added revenue, but hopefully it would be used to cut the price to the touring persons. Our guide worked hard to maximize the value of the trip, with uncooperative weather conditions.

The places visited during the tour were totally marvelous and definitely worth visiting. But I could not imagine the tour service and the food provided would be so terrible. The tour without the food could have been better and time saving. In recent years, Viator arranged very nice tours for us in Australia, South America, Asia and a few other places but this one turned out to be the unbeatable worst kind.

Enjoyable but we seemed to be continually running against the clock. Too much packed into the trip.

Chamonix and Mount Blanc was an awesome experience, especially as a first time traveler to this region. As a mountain enthusiast, there was no better way to see the alps. The climax of this trip was having a fabulous lunch at a small restaurant under the views of Mt. Blanc. A lot of activities are planned for a short trip, so be aware of limited time for shopping. I would definitely recommend this trip to anyone and after taking this tour, I will return to this region. As I continue to travel, I will be checking the Viator website for future tours to other great destinations.

It was OK, but could have been better

The guide was experienced, but the itinerary left a bit to be desired. Mont Blanc was beautiful. Our lunch was canceled and a refund was given. I guess the tour's timing and planning is not really perfect.

The tour guide could have explained more to us, we were only told about the altitude sickness as we boarded the cable car. The whole day was rushed.

The tour in itself was quite good, but it was just a shame that on the day it was snowing very heavily and we could not use the cable car. However, we did get a refund for this part of the tour.

The trip was generally alright. The tour guide only gave directions.

It was an overpriced bus ride. Make sure everything is actually running before you pay; otherwise it will be disappointing. Never got to do most of the activities listed on the website.

This website fails to mention the fact that the Mer de Glace is canceled from November to January, meaning that half of our trip, the most important part, was canceled and refunded at the beginning of the tour. Nobody told us this prior to the beginning of the tour, and choices were limited once we arrived. Highly disappointed with the tour overall.

Great scenery, poor organization. Unfortunately with Viator you have to book the lunch option with this tour which wastes valuable time, and you then don't have enough time at the Mer De Glace. Other than that the scenery is great, it's a shame for the amount of money the tour costs it's poorly organised from the start at the bus terminal to the end of the tour.
