This tour was okay, but could've have been much better. The countryside is definitely beautiful and worth a look. I think this could have been a wonderful tour if the guide could keep us more entertained (she was dull), more excitement in her voice and exciting stories about the history and countryside. Several people on the bus tour were falling asleep. It would have been great to stop about halfway into the tour to walk through one of the wineries and stretch our legs.
It was a Sunday trip and a bus driver kept everything under his own control - it seems to return as soon as possible home our trip lasted 40 minutes less than it had been advertised. There was a noisy row between him and our guide. Everybody was confused of their service and nobody said even goodbye leaving the bus to the guide and bus driver.
The trip started 40 minutes later than the time showed on my voucher. We did not stop at the traditional country inn for refreshments, which was included in the price of the trip. As it was so late in the afternoon, most people on the bus dozed off during the trip. It was late summer and the sunflowers were all burned, so there wasn't much beauty to marvel at except the vineyards and mountains.
A visit to a winery and/or a farm might be an excellent way to raise the value of the trip, even though the price for the journey was reasonable. It wouldn't have to be a long visit, just some human contact and maybe a chance to take a picture or two.
