Fantastic trip amazing views from Mont Blanc and recommend taking time to enjoy afternoon in Chamonix remember to take euros if spending most of your holiday in Switzerland
One of the best guided tours i have taken, right from the experience of visiting Chamonix to Mt. Blanc and the Tour guide (Neel) giving us so many insights and details it was overall value for money experience. must do tour when in GENEVA.
Enjoyed the trip leisurely by ourselves without the tour guide. Stunning scenery and beautiful alpine town.
Awesome trip. The view from the top is insane. The trip is just the right length; we had enough time to not feel rushed but not too much that we got bored. Everyone spoke English too which was useful; even though both of us spoke French sometimes there can be some translational issues so being able to switch back and forth was extremely helpful. At the top, there's both a restaurant and a cafeteria. The cafeteria is cheap but the food is pretty good. If you're in Geneva, you'd be insane not to head out to Chamonix for a day.
This was an amazing trip! We would recommend this trip to everyone!
It is worth the visit, 20 minutes ride on the cable car to over 3000m on Mont Blanc, scenery you thought you can only see in pictures. But be prepared to feel dizzy and out-of-breath. Return trip on cable car may force you to stay up for an hour or two up there. Previous complaints about unable to find the bus to return to Geneva, is no longer a problem, as the tour has obviously seen the comment and have been very informative about it.
Excellent trip! I was a little hesitatnt on the price, but was well worth the money!
I ended up paying a little more money to come back on the later bus and spent to day in provence. Was a great day, the tour guide was helpful, friendly and fully of knowledge. Would reccomend to friends.
Chamonix is a small and nice French city. All I want is to Thank our guide Mr Neil for his professionalism and caring nature. If not for him I will give only 2 stars. There was no connection travelling facility to return half day (as originally planned) and Neil provided me options to make the best of the situation. His numerous tips on Geneva was quite useful too.
The tour by itself was very interesting. The weather was not very good, it was raining and very foggy, so views from the peak were very poor. But it is outside of tour guide control. The only complain would be that tour guide did not provide enough information about the destination, attractions, places we visited. He kept tour on schedule, which was great, but more info about visited area could have been provided.
Great tour beautiful views on a perfect clear day. Wish we had done the full day tour instead though
Trip was beautiful, we had the perfect opportunity to see the wonderful cities and sights on the way from Geneva to Chamonix. But the negative part of this tour was that there was a guide during the trip. And it is not fully explained in the Viator website. We had bad luck that the weather was bad and we were not able to complement intention to visit Mont Blanc, but I believe that we will have the opportunity to be rewarded for that part of the journey to be completed.
First off, the half day trip really isn't a 'tour'. It's just transportation from Geneva to Chamonix on a mini-shuttle bus, drop off with tickets to Telepherique, and then return transport on the bus with everyone who took the full day tour that departed earlier. That said, a visit to the CHX and the top of Mt. Blanc is simply stunning and this is a simple way to do it. If you want a 'tour', take the earlier trip so you can have guided tour comments on the drive out. Don't forget your passport and Euros.
