We had a very sweet guide. Everything was well planned and thought out. I'm glad I took the tour.

Our guide was fabulous, and the view from the road between Geneva and Montreaux alone was worth the price of admission. This was my second Viator tour and I've not been disappointed.

This was a really nice trip. The Chillon castle was wonderful, but the boat cruise from Chillon to Montreaux was a little disappointing. It was time to jump off the boat even before we settled in. Overall, it was a decent experience.

Amazing locations and views; lots of information given by tour guide. Castle tour was the best part.

Good tour. It is definitely good to have the voucher, as they had to turn people away from this tour the day we went. The tour guide was very good and animated. The weather improved and it stopped raining, so we were able to enjoy the towns without an umbrella. The drive between Lausanne and Montreaux is beautiful. The only negative was that in Lausanne, we left Old Town to be taken to the shoreline for lunch on our own. We only had an hour, and would have preferred to stay in the Old Town where there were many cafes, a farmer's market, and shops. The shoreline didn't have much, and there was not enough time to grab lunch and see the Olympic Museum before getting back on the bus. The Castle Chillon tour was very good and we did have a little time to enjoy the Jazz Festival in Montreaux before catching the boat to the to see the castle.

The tour was really nice and interesting. It felt a little rushed for some portions in Lausanne, but we definitely got to see many things. The guide was very knowledgeable.

We thoroughly enjoyed this trip. There was a mist so we could not appreciate the Alps as we would have liked. The Lausanne walking tour was good. I have used Viator in the past and I will be using Viator again for our trip to Milan in September. Chillon was well worth a visit and Montreux was beautiful.

It was OK, but could have been better

This itinerary added greatly to our experience in Switzerland, but we would have preferred a smaller bus and a greater depth of information from the guide.

I would have preferred to have a bit more time in Lausanne to go into the Olympic Museum rather than just drive past it. I would also rather have spent more time at Chillon than at the Montreux markets, which were the same as any markets around the world, with the same old useless trinkets.

It is the first time and last I use Viator to book a tour. My boyfriend came for a visit and I was supposed to show him around. The departure time was supposed to be at 9:30am as it was sent on the confirmation letter. Apparently, the tour was at 8:30am instead so we had no other choice than to wait until 1pm to join the tour and do Montreux and Chillon, skipping Lausanne. I called the customer service number that was given and they had no idea what was happening and said there was nothing else they could do. I had 2 other people in the same situation as I was because the time schedule on the website its not correct, so I suggest you to update your information. I can't say much because at least in the end of the day, the tour guide sorted it out by giving me back the difference in francs for what was paid for the complete tour, and only doing Montreux and Chillon.

Reviewed by: Haydee N, Switzerland, April 2007 Note from Viator: As of May 1 the departure time for this tour did change to 9:30am departure time. We apologize that we posted the new departure time on our website early, causing you to miss the tour you had booked. We have confirmed with our supplier that moving forward the correct departure time for this tour is 9:30am.

We only walked briefly through the old town of Lausanne, no time to look around or take photos. We only saw a couple of rooms at the castle, not enough. The guide offered no suggestions of things to do in Montreux in the free time we did have. This trip was not worth the price and we really did not get to look at the places mentioned in the tour.

Overpriced and rushed. The tour of Lausanne essentially amounts to nothing more than a photo stop outside the IOC, a look at the Cathedral and a walk to the market. The description says there is time to visit the Olympic Museum - but 45 minutes hardly does this justice. Chillon Castle is beautiful - but the guide did have to omit some rooms in order to keep to the tour time and there was no time to look at Montreux other than to see the statue of Freddie Mercury. Unless you really don't like travelling independently, I would recommend using the train - cheaper and more relaxed!
