Your tour begins with a drive to the pretty village of South Queensferry, overlooking the Firth of Forth. The drive then takes you past the attractive town of Linlithgow, with its palace ruins overlooking a lovely loch. It was here that Mary Queen of Scots was born in 1542.
Stirling is the next treat, where you have the option to visit the famous Stirling Castle. An extended stop in Stirling allows a leisurely visit to the castle or the chance to explore the town itself.
The scenic drive continues through the village of Doune, with its 14th-century castle, to Callander, a pleasant tourist town that became popular in Victorian times. You'll drive through the Trossachs, a wonderful area of lochs and wild mountain vistas, pass Loch Venachar then climb the dramatic Dukes Pass to stop at the pretty village of Aberfoyle.
The day ends on a real high note as you drive to the "bonnie, bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond. You will stop in Balloch, where you can enjoy an optional cruise on the loch or visit the nearby Loch Lomond National Park visitor center.
