Our guide Soledad was very good and kind. The place is so beautiful!!! I wish I could go back!
Make sure you get Enrique has your guide! He is fantastic, so knowledgeable and interesting. The Alhambra was the most amazing place I've ever seen, and the tour was just fantastic. Don't miss this whatever you do!
This was a wonderful tour. The Alhambra is a beautiful site and well worth seeing. Our tour guide, Enrique, was fantasic. He had an outstanding knowledge of the Alhambra and the entire history of it as well as a history of Spain and Granada. He was a genuine tour guide who had continually recommended other areas to visit. This was an excellent tour.
This was a terrific experience. I'd recommend this tour for anyone travelling to Granada. Our guide was insightful, knowledgable, personable and most of all, fun!
The Alhambra is awesome! We were picked up at our hotel which was very convenient. Our tour guide was a young man giving only his second tour on his own. He was very knowledgeable, able to answer all questions and discuss subject matter in depth with those who were curious. He made us welcome and always made sure everyone was in the tour. After the official tour he guided us down to the old city showing us additional historical places and monuments. We were very pleased and recommend it to everyone visiting Spain.Janet and Paul Chiswell
This is a very overcrowded sight and skipping the line was a bonus!!! Our guide was knowledgeable and her commentary was easy to follow. Don't judge the quality of the tapas and Spanish red wine by the complimentary sample given on the tour. Tres ordinaire, however the gardens were well worth the experience as was the Moorish architecture. Both moorish to the point were we want more.
Even with rain and a city bus breaking down in front of us and blocking the road down from Pena, it was a fabulous tour. Fernando our guide and Anna the driver, were both fabulous! Sintra is a wonderful place to visit. We normally do side trips on our own, but I'm so glad we did this with a tour. We learned so much, the mini bus that transported us was clean and comfortable. The sites in Sintra are not close together, so it was nice to be taken from site to site. Plus we had plenty of time for lunch and some shopping in Sintra. Highly recommend.
This was a wonderful way to visit the Alhambra - very informative and, on the whole, hassle-free. We didn't have to worry about booking tickets on-line or queuing early in the morning to buy tickets on the day. There was some anxiety for us, however, at the very beginning when we couldn't find our group at the designated meeting place (one of the car parks near the ticket booth.) In the information provided to us before the tour, the instruction was to phone the night before if you required hotel pick-up from your centrally-located hotel. As our hotel was only 15 minutes walk away we didn't bother. We arrived in the car park to find it swarming with people, all belonging to one group or another. We were somewhat worried that our group had entered the Alhambra without us. After asking various group leaders for help (including one who went to considerable trouble to try and catch a group leader who had been looking for someone but had already taken their group in), someone informed us that the Viator tour office was actually in a visitor information centre over the road. So I went to investigate while my husband hovered around the main gate, in case anyone was looking for us. It eventuated that, yes, the Viator tour meeting place was, in fact, in the visitor centre and, much to our relief, they hadn't left yet, even though it was well after 10 am. It seems that, although we hadn't rung the night before, they had gone to our hotel anyway to collect us. So, to avoid confusion all round, we would recommend using the hotel pick-up, even if you are staying nearby! Then, at least, you are with the group from the start. As for the actual tour, our guide spoke English well, was interesting and moved us through each section at a good pace. We had a short break for a small complimentary drink and tapas snack in a well-stocked souvenir shop, with toilets nearby. After the tour, we were free to remain in the Generalife gardens and to wander around the "city" again.
A really enjoyable, interesting and informative tour, an excellent guide (Bertus) and very help[ful and friendly staff. Highly recommended all round. Greatly appreciated the special help we got to get us back to the hotel quickly as we had a flight to catch in Malaga that evening. Thank you.
An excellent tour.
However, we met at the Alhambra and later saw that other companies offered discounts for people who were not picked up at their hotel
Great tour with the great guide Gustafo who was outstanding. Ask for him because he is very special, informative and funny.
Our tour guide Mark is excellent. He is friendly, knowledgable and funny. We enjoyed the Alhambra so much. Thanks for picking us from the hotel as well.
