Great guide, strip not to be missed. Quite a long wait to get tickets as your office had not communicated our purchase of tickets to the local office.
Excellent tour, knowledgeable guide, the right pace and generally good tour. The only improvement required is a clear unambiguous designation of where the group is to meet in the morning (unless you are picked up at your hotel). We had difficulty finding the meeting place and the tour group. A colored umbrella or flag would also help in making sure you can find your guide in the crowd of people. This said, we had a great time.
We took a guided tour for Alhambra in the morning and a self night time tour of the Nazarene Palace (Alhambra). The night time time tour is assisted with a GPS like device that plays the recorded info about the various locations within the Palace. We were never able to effectively use it and abandoned it. The day time guided tour was awesome. Out guide *Antonio) was extremely knowledgeable and fluent in English. He would answer all questions and seemed to enjoy what he does. I would recommend this tour to anyone. I am not sure if I would recommend GPS like device for nigh time tour.
I had a great time with a great guide for this tour. He was informative and easy to understand. I led all the history he included in his narrative. the pickup at the hotel was great as well. I stayed later and had lunch in the village and took photos i the gardens so I returned to my hotel with a nice walk.
Very good. Picked up on time from hotel. Tour very informative and interesting (victor was great) and dropped home on time. Well worth the money.
Knowledgeable and witty tour guide showed us one of the most significant monuments in spain. The pickup was simple and ontime, with the earpieces, we could her and not be huddled together We were given time to take our time and photos. Part architectural history, part Spainish history - this complex is so vast you really need a guide ( coming from a former non-tour/ non guide blue book carrier) - Enjoy!
This was a brilliant and memorable tour, very well organised. The commentary was detailed and instructive but in no way boring. Despite the heat and the long distance to walk, the guide held our interest, and had a wealth of knowledge of history, architecture and religion. Pick up from the hotel was punctual and courteous. Would not hesitate to book another tour and all the 5 starts awarded are very geniune and well deserved.
Our tour was done in French (hence a smaller group). The guide was very good, nice and patient. Glad I used a Viator tour for this as the crowds are huge. Worth the money.
Alberto, our guide, was brilliant, eloquent and informative. He handled the fact that he had to give the tour in both English and Spanish excellently but this did make the tour a little long and therefore quite tiring in the heat.
The guide we had was an Egyptian who had lived many years in Granada. He was like a walking encyclopedia, and was extremely knowledgeable. It was a pleasure to have him as our guide. Everything was great about this tour, except perhaps the time was a tad short and also if we were given just a bit more time for photo-taking, that would have been perfect.
Overall, the tour was definitely worth it.
Fantastic tour! We were greeted with enthusiasm from the start. All the guides were organized and swiftly and professionally sorted us into groups! Our guide Fernando was excellent. He was very patient and enthusiastic and shared some great stories with us all. He spoke well to the group and kept us all focused and interested. A great day!!
Some points/ suggestions..
Ps. In our group we had a lady with a walking frame. As the tour progressed she found it difficult to keep up and the group was often waiting/ looking for her. Fernando was very patient, as we all were. Eventually she had to sit, stop and wait. Good on her for persisting and doing the tour, however I really think she should've been on a disabled course/ tour.
Also, we didn't really like the wine, tapas, shopping trap. It was hot and we felt a complimentary small bottle of water each would've been a good addition on the tour.
This tour was the highlight of our trip to Spain! It was my first experience wearing headphones to listen to our guide but it was the perfect solution with so many different tour groups visiting at the same time. We could hear our guide perfectly and his enthusiasm and love of the Alhambra was amazing. He enthusiastically answered questions and allowed ample time for us to take pictures at appropriate spots.
