We enjoyed sunshine and balmy temperatures even though our visit came at the end of November. The timelessness of the architecture and its role in history brought great meaning to the experience, especially when we stood in the room where Queen Isabella had met with Christopher Columbus to tell him she would fund his first trip to the New World.
