Hotel pickup is available in Tusayan, a resort town near the south entrance to Grand Canyon National Park located about an hour north of Williams and 1.5 hours north of Flagstaff. After hotel pickup by Jeep, arrive at the trail head and get ready for an awesome hiking adventure.
Your guide will choose a hiking trail on the Grand Canyon South Rim based on the group’s abilities and fitness levels. Hiking trails range in difficulty and length -- from 2.5 miles to 6 miles (4 km to 10 km) -- but no matter which one you take, you’ll be treated to incredible views of the Grand Canyon's towering rock formations, rugged desert landscapes and sheer canyon walls colored in eye-catching hues.
Stop along the way to rest, take photos and soak up your majestic surroundings. Your guide will provide commentary about the wonders of this amazing geological phenomenon, and will answer any questions you have.
After your hike, head to the National Geographic Visitor Center to watch an awe-inspiring film in the air-conditioned comfort of the IMAX theater. The 34-minute Grand Canyon IMAX movie opens your eyes to a Grand Canyon that most people don’t know about. Showing you glimpses of human and geological history from 4,000 years ago to today, the movie lets you live the history, mystery and jaw-dropping beauty of the most storied natural wonder in the world.
At the end of your Grand Canyon IMAX experience, meet your guide and hop in the Jeep for your return drive to your hotel.
