The combo tour was very fun! The tour guide was very good at keeping our large group together, I am not fond of horses, so they paired me with a small docile hose and the ride was good, very fun, glad I did not wimp out and take the hay ride. The zip lining guides were very funny and kept us all moving, it was a great experience! I felt very safe and the views were amazing. The 1400ft waterslide was great fun be sure to do that, and again the snack and lunches were very good, all on-site prepared and delicious. The volcano mud spa was very relaxing, we sat in hot spring pools and kicked back with a libation. Don't miss this tour.
It was a great experience!
However it wasnt the real true rainforest as I was expecting. We went during the dry season (february) the forest was nice, a little dry and little green. We started our tour with ziplining which was awesome, there were multiple ziplining. Then we went down the waterslide (which was great) I didnt have any high expectation for this but it was really cool sliding down a waterslide through the forest and hear the howler monkeys. After that we had a delicious lunch. Once lunch was done we went on a adventurous horseback riding through the forest, steep hills, rivers, rocky hills and so on.. The horses took us to the Hot Springs spa location (Awesome). There we covered ourselves with volcanic mud and and then relaxed in the warm and hot hot springs. :-) our tour guy was sooo knowledgeable and made this trip very exciting.
this was the highlight of our trip. We loved the zip lining, the water slide, and hot springs area. Everything was extremely safe and the guides are great. The lunch was outstanding as well. We bought the CD which included pictures from all the activites. Highly recommend this.
Fabulous! Everything about this tour was great! Our guide was fun and informative. The itinerary for the day was well thought out starting with the zip lining. The zips were awesome, but not scary. All well maintained. The waterslide was next which was much more thrilling. One tip I wish I had known.....wear some sort of rubber beach socks. The slide is made of concrete and very fast. One's heels and ankles will take a beating against the sides of the slide. An authentic, yummy Costa Rican lunch was next. This was followed by an exciting and scenic horseback ride to the falls and hot springs. The horses were all well mannered and very nimble footed as the terrain was treacherous in some areas. The hot springs and falls did not disappoint...every bit as pretty as the pictures posted. Our group made amazing memories on this tour. Would do it all over again!
I had an amazing time on the Buena Vista Rainforest tour. We had a wonderful tour guide by the name of Alfonso. He was very patient with our questions and knowledgable. The ziplining was AMAZING!!!! and so was the mountain slide and the lunch. I cant rant and rave enough about the tour. Its def worth every minute. I highly reccommend. Thanks Viator
Everything was perfect. Highly professional. Learned about this area, had a little adventure and felt safe the entire time. Great guide, quality transportation.
Very fun. You get picked up at your hotel and driven out there. The day starts off with you pulling up to fresh juice waiting for you at the entrance. You hike up a fairly mild and cleared pathway along side the waterslide and up to your first zip lining station. It was either 7 or 8 zip lines, but very fun overall. Eventually you will end up at the base of the slide again. If you choose to do the water slide you walk up the path again with a tube and they send you rushing down with a ton of water. It is much faster than you would expect. Then you sample some local breads and coffee and have a lunch buffet in the building next door. After lunch you take either a horseback ride or a tractor ride (your choice) down to the hot springs. The area is very nice and laid back, when all is said and done you get taken back up on the tractor and they drive you back to your hotel. We stopped for shopping on the way back at a store that had some cool souvenir items. The tour guide, Saul, was professional, funny, and very likeable. He knew a lot about Costa Rican culture and answered any questions we had. They are always on the lookout for wildlife, and we saw a few monkeys on the trip as well as two different kinds of toucans. For the money I rate this 5/5 stars and highly recommend.
This was an all day event but well worth the time and money. We were honeymooning in Costa Rica and this was our only excursion. absolutely breathtaking!! Zip lining was jaw dropping.. Horse back riding was a hoot and the mud bath/natural hotsprings finished off our day.. Amazing! Oh, the Waterslide was crazy fast too.
The tour was incredible! Our tour guide Laura was so knowledgeable and informative of the animals and culture and history of Costa Rica. The first part was my favorite..the zipling!!! The last zip line we did it upside down and it was exhilarating! the water slide is super fast youll need to go more than once! The trail we took for the horseback riding was narrow and rugged but the horses managed well. The hot springs was quite refreshing between the sauna, mud bath, and hot pools it was a relaxing way to end the adventure of a lifetime! Definitely bring bug spray and a camera!
Awesome tour!! Although a little long from the Westin where we stayed. We left at 7:30am and came back at 11:30pm. Approx. 7 hours of road. Zip lining was great but the hot springs and dinner at the 5-star hotel in the middle of the rain forest were the showcase of the trip!! This tour is definitely not for young kids.
Sooo much fun! Amazing 7 line zip line and awesome hot springs
