Halong Bay is a lot nicer than imagined. Will be staying on the overnight junk tour next time around.

Great day out, however it is a long day as the drive to and from is long, 6 hours in total! We were lucky as we had a huge Boat for 6 of us, so plenty of room and a chance to move around the boat. Well worth seeing.

The food was excellent and the scenery gorgeous. Shame there was only 3 hours sailing in the Bay

The guides and driver provided great service. We were however a little disappointed with the foggy weather when we visited the bay, so we couldn't see much except for when the boat got closer to the rocky islands. Regardless, it's still a worthwhile trip.

This was a very long day--four hours each way. The guide was marginal. She did not give much commentary. I wouldn't say it was a must see.
