After reading about taxi scams from Hanoi Airport, we decided to book a private transfer. This was a costlier option, but we were so glad to have used it. As we came through customs, we were met by a delightful young lady who took us to the cab and then accompanied us to our hotel. She explained various things along the way and made us feel welcome to our first experience in Vietnam. We felt it was definitely worth the money and would recommend it to other travellers.

There were some problem with this one. They weren't there. I didn't have a confirmation email, so I think there was a computer glitch. They made it up to us by giving us a bottle of wine, which was very nice. I don't think it was their fault and it was nice that they were very concerned about the mishap and communicated through their tour guides to provide us with a nice bottle of wine when we were on the Halong Bay boat tour.

Everything was perfect, the only thing is you can find far better prices in local agencies. As this is an arriving transfer if you don't have local contacts, having someone to pick you up in the airport it's worth the difference.

Airport transfer was very punctual and efficient. Tour to Ha Long Bay was good. Guide stayed too long at rest stop and did not physically help older person in group to get on boat. Otherwise guide and driver were very pleasant.

Very convenient to have someone there on arrival however cost 30 for 2 people, local taxis are right outside airport terminal and only charge 20. But definitely good if you would prefer to have someone waiting for you.

The driver was late. He arrived holding a card with my name at least 5 minutes after I came out from customs. I had to inquire at information and to telephone without success. Disappointing!
