Hobart Historic Afternoon Tour

Richmond Bridge

With an informative driver/guide, tour Hobart’s historical destinations to check out landmarks like Constitution Dock, Battery Point with its quaint pubs, homes and boutiques, and the ABC Buildings, the city’s original sandstone railway station. Soak up colonial history as you admire Georgian mansions and small cottages, and learn about Australia’s convict past as you see buildings built by prisoners.

Other sights you’ll see may include Sullivan’s Cove (Hobart’s birthplace), Parliament House, Salamanca Place and Derwent Entertainment Centre. Then head north of the city to Richmond, one of Australia’s most historic towns, known for its preserved heritage attractions. Cross the Richmond Bridge, the oldest road bridge in Australia, built in 1823, and take a look at the Richmond Goal, which dates back to 1826. Your tour ends with return to Hobart.
