This tour is a must do for anyone visiting Hobart, I had the perfect day for my tour. The guide was very informative which was great as you learned a lot along the way. Make sure you rug up as the temperature drops 10-20 degrees. You can a third of Tasmania from the top. Its beautiful.
MUST DO 100%. The drive is beautiful, and the view is unforgettable. One of the things you must do in Tasmania. Pricey, but worth it!
The views from Mount Wellington were absolutely stunning. A must do for anyone visiting Hobart. Make sure you come prepared for the weather though, because it's very cold and windy up on the summit.
I was lucky with the weather, it was a beautiful clear morning and I could see forever. It felt like being on top of the world.
Lovely trip up with good commentary, but a shame the mist was down a little.
It snowed the day we were there, so it was a bit cold. We did not get a great view from Mount Wellington, but we had a great time throwing snowballs. I would do this again in clearer weather.
This tour could be coupled with that of a visit to Botanic Gardens or elsewhere to offer a better package deal. As it is, there is not much value for the fare paid, which is why this tour is not very popular judging from the number of passengers on board.
Our tour guide was great and very informative however the day we went on our tour it was -5 with 90km winds and heavy rain. Could not see a thing. Dissapointed.
I was disappointed that we were not told that it would probably be cloudy early in the day and that it was not offered later in the afternoon.
