A wonderful tour through the 'country-side' seeing the old Hong Kong way of life. We were fortunate enough to view inside one of the oldest Tang houses - a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We had a great clear day and could see to China. Very informative guide. Highly recommended.
Very informative and personalised experience ... Don, our guide was very generous with sharing his knowledge and lifestyle as a local ... definately worthwhile if you are wanting to get a better insight into the culture of Hong Kong and its peope outside of the harbour and city lights.
Excellent host and tour guide. There were some things that youg et to see and wouldnt expect from a city like Hong Kong.
Highly recommended tour. The guide was extremely good at explaining all the different sites, and the tour was completed at a good pace, allowing time at each place to take photos and explore on your own.
Seeing the walled village was fantastic, especially knowing that this is the only tour that you can do it!
A worthwhile trip from Hong Kong. The Buddhist monastery is especially interesting.
Very out of the ordinary. Our guide gave us the tea ceremony in his home in a conservation area walled village. It was a very personal tour and the organiser is to be congratulated.
This trip also was as we expected - an interesting insight into part of Hong Kong visitors do not generally get to see. Our driver/guide had obviously designed the trip from his own local knowledge and kindly offered us tea in his own home in an historic walled village.
Very interesting heritage tour! I look at it from the viewpoint of an American born Chinese who is attuned to some of Chinese culture. But this tour showed me things I didn't know, especially about Hong Kong....I highlight was Lo Wai village.
One downside was that we were promised a stop at a scenic lookout on Tai Mo Shan mountain, which did not happen.
Good transportation. Knowledgable guide. Best part was seeing his home in clan village.
A very interesting tour guided by someone who lives in an ancient walled village in the New Territories. Saw a very different side to Hong Kong. Unfortunately the guide will not be running this tour any more after March next year.
My family and I enjoyed this tour. It was great to leave the hustle and bustle of the city for the day and see greenery and open spaces! The monastery was beautiful and we loved seeing the walled village and inside the lovely home of our guide. Highly recommended
