Fantastic trip, a good bit of everything. Guide Mark is super, great sense of humour and loves learning new English slang! Shopping is tedious process but got some bargains and good quality with Mark's help.

All arrangements as advertised were fully carried outg. Guides on bith sides of the border were kn owledgeable and very helpful. An enjoyable meal was provided during the sightseeing and shopping sections of the tour. All those on the tour appeared to have enjoyed their experience, we did.

A very good trip to Shenzhen and well organised. The group strength was 10 and hence had good attention. The guide Mark was very helpful.

Would like to have been able to shop on my own rather than having a guide permanently by my side and only allowing me to enter certain outlets

Enjoyed seeing more than just shopping on this tour. The visit to the gardens was lovely. Could have missed the warriors as it was really only an opportunity to buy jade. The shopping was fun. Wouldn't recommend this tour to a serious shopper - better doing it on your own, but if you want to experience the madness of shopping in Shenzen but also the opportunity to learn a little more then this is a good tour for you. We still had 4 hours shopping time and that was enough. Great guide too!

Tour was worthwhile doing, excellent guides on both sides, no hassles, very easy. The fairy gardens were beautiful even though the weather was very misty and damp, less lovely was the shopping tour. The copies , which I did not purchase were poor quality, the hassling was constant. In retrospect next time we will go off and walk through the other part of the large city square on our own and then meet up with tour on leaving. Mark the guide was funny and good value, top marks to him. Factory tour interesting. All in all would probably do this tour again but miss out on the shopping part.

i would have liked to spend much more time at the gardens.
the shopping part of the trip rather dragged for us, however the guides on both sides of the borders were excellent; fun and informative.
We were rather in the darka s to what and where the included meal was to be (important as i have some dietary concerns), however in the end the very helpful Chinese guide arranged for us to be met by a friend of his and this ensured we were able to find probably the best hotel resturant in Shenzen. Nice end to our day.

The guides on both sides of the borders were brilliant and the botanic gardens were great. We didn’t like the aggressive selling techniques at the Lo Wu Commercial Shopping Mall

Botanic gardens were great shame the rest of the trip was all about selling products

Tour taken 21 Jan 2013. Unless you like shopping and being constantly harassed this trip isn't for you. The only sightseeing parts of the tour, the gardens, were lovely, but that was it. The Terracotta Warriors were a couple of pieces but in a jade shop. So this was a ploy to get tourists into the shop to buy. The assistants herded us into a room, then shut both doors and pressured the visitors to buy...then herded into another room until eventually we were allowed to leave. The same with the silk factory...it was a silk bedding shop, although we were shown a bit about the silk, but mainly it was to put pressure to purchase.
The best part of the day was lunch, it was lovely and the tour guy, Mark, was interesting!!
The remainder of the day we were let loose in a shopping arcade...again there was a lot of pressure to buy and you could not just look around. Strangers grabbing us to persuade us to visit their shop. My sister and I left after 30minutes and had to spend the rest of the time (3 hrs) sitting outside the centre...we didn't feel safe enough to wonder the streets looking for a coffee shop.
It was a shame as I booked the trip for my sisters Christmas present.
