Escape the busy streets of Hue and head to Quang Dien, a quiet village known for its beautiful architecture, gorgeous landscape and friendly people! Meet your guide upon pickup from your hotel and hop on a bus to the village, winding through attractive towns and passing the stunning Tam Giang Lagoon on the way.
When you arrive with your small group in Quang Dien, take a bicycle ride through town, stopping to visit a traditional old house and chat with the locals. Follow your guide to the village school and spend some time with the students before riding to a vegetable field to meet one of the farmers.
First, discover the crops that are essential to the local community and learn about the important role of sustainable agriculture in this region. Then, roll up your sleeves and lend a hand with the garden tasks, from watering the vegetables to helping to harvest crops.
Afterward, ride your bike to the home of a local family for a traditional Vietnamese lunch, including seafood, vegetables and herbs – all sourced from the garden or purchased from the village market. When you’ve completed your shared meal, enjoy a stroll through town or simply relax at the house.
Once you feel refreshed, your guide will take you to Tam Giang Lagoon for a sampan cruise on the water. Try your luck catching a fish in the lagoon after a visit to a fish and prawn farm, where you’ll learn how to throw a fish net as you help the local fishermen haul up their daily catch for the market.
Spend the rest of your afternoon relaxing on the white sand shores of Quang Dien’s wild beach, a quiet spot famous for its clear waters. Far from the crowds, it’s the perfect place to unwind and take a dip. After it gets chilly and the water becomes too cold, your guide will take your small group inland to the hot springs near Thuan An Beach.
Your day tour of Quang Dien comes to an end with return transport to Hue and drop-off at your hotel.
