Gorgeous ride through the country. Highly recommend it.

Lovely Irish countryside and scenery on a very comfortable bus and an excellent commentary from the driver. Altogether a very enjoyable day. My only criticism, if any, is that it is difficult to find the depot to board the bus, with many one-way streets and a typical absence of street names in Ireland.

This full-day event was a wonderful bargain. We had an excellent guide/driver.

The tour operator would rate higher if they offered "hotel" pickup to those who book online. Internet customers presumably save the tour operator some effort. The reason given for not offering local pickup was that they could not guarantee the two of us would get seats together. Why could they not reserve our coach seats from the commencement of the journey? As it happens, we reported to the depot and did get seats together, but had the weather been poor we would have appreciated or needed the local pickup.

The ring of Kerry is really beautiful and the tour was informative. It is a small miracle the huge coach stayed on the narrow roads to begin with. But the coach was very full, this tour didn't have the intimate feel of the Killarney Highlights tour. The scenery made up for it though.

The lunch stop was expensive and the only place to eat. I would recommend a stop where you have a choice for lunch.

We had a fantastic day and were so lucky with the weather, the views were breath taking in some spots. Our coach driver/tour guide was great and really made it a fun day.

Liked everything but the tour guide. He wasn't too friendly or talkative. Shouldn't that be in the job description?

It was OK, but could have been better

This trip was just fair. At 1000AM there was a line to get in to the bus, but no driver. About 30 people had assembled and there was no one to open the door to the bus. The group waited in a light rain as more people lined up. Finally I had to ask the office staff to open the door of the bus so everyone could sit down and even then it took more than 15 minutes for someone to finally open the door of the bus. When the trip finally started at an hour later the scenery was lovely, but the driver went for long periods without narrating the tour. This tour had the potential to be so much more, but it was not to be. Ireland is a wonderful place, with tons of history and culture, but I found the tour to be short on good solid info and long on BS ie. we passed a golf course and were told that Tiger Woods had stayed there once, we passed a village and were told about a movie that was filmed there. Not a whole lot of info on Irish history, the famine, the troubles, music, economic development, nor agriculture were mentioned.
I would think twice about taking the tour again. But in the end I would probably decide to take it anyway. Just beware, I felt like falling asleep several times on the tour because the guide was not that interesting so have a coffee or something before you go and don't bother getting there early. Good luck, and I hope you have a better experience.

The weather was bad, so we did not see much during the entire trip.

Our tour company offered to pick us up from our accommodation, which was great, but it then drove us around Killarney for the next 40-50 minutes, including a stop at the bus depot to drop some stuff off. One change of transport later and we were finally away. The commentary was ok, but being in Ireland we were hoping for somebody with a bit more spark. It was a great way to see some sights without having to drive yourself though!
