A safe, easy, effective and informative way to see the sights of the city.
A very good experience. Prompt, good recorded tour tape. Driver was courteous and well informed.
An Excellent way to see all the amazing sites and learn all the routes in one day.
We enjoyed our tour and was able to see a lot of Istanbul in 1 day. The Tour itself was very systematic and the people involved with the tour were very helpful. We highly recommend this tour.
Loved the tour of Istanbul once we found the stop. Was not that convenient to port and had a hard time finding.
A good way to get a feeling for this exciting city and to then be able to travel between the sites .
Good overview of the city - but it was spoiled by a morning of rain.
Overall I had a great experience. It didn't start off so well, but in the end was a wonderful choice. This purchase was for Istanbul Hop-on Hop-off bus tours, which was bought out 3 months prior by Big Bus Hop-on Hop-off. When I tried to find the bus stop I was told that my ticket was no good. I took a taxi to the main bus stop near the Blue Mosque and my ticket was redeemed.
As others have reviewed, these busses are dreadfully slow, owing to the unbelievable traffic in Istanbul - even on a weekend. They are, however, a good way of getting a feel for the layout of the city and for that reason alone are worth doing. Having said that, I boarded both days from Taksim Square - on the Sunday there was a bus at 9.15am, but on Monday the first bus to arrive was at 10.35am and it was full, so the (unfriendly) driver wasn't allowing anyone on - I did manage to board and found that there were 5 empty seats, so saved myself a wait, but still didn't get into Sultsnhsmrt until 11.15am (should have just jumped on the Metro!). I used the bus over 48hrs and found the 'info driver' at Taksim really friendly, so it's just pot luck with drivers. Easy to use, easy to find, just need services beginning much earlier in the day - tourists are here to tour, not stand in queues to be told that the bus is full, wait for the next one (20+ mins wait), which may well have been full to. Perhaps a bus should leave Taksim Square too at the beginning of the day - this would alleviate all problems.
