We certainly enjoyed our visit to Istanbul. Our guide was great and had all of the facts even if they were stuffed into a limited amount of time. We had a lot of sights to cover and he was good at letting us decide how we wanted to spend our time. The one difficulty we encountered was a schedule change that one couple didn't find out about. We started an hour earlier and wouldn't have known either but one of our party e-mailed Viator and found out. The late couple said that no one answered the phone when they called to confirm. Other than this small glitch it was a great time and our lunch that was proveded was very good and introduced us to some Turkish food.

Great guide. Comfortable transportation. Recommend that if you are coming off a cruise ship that you get the guide's cell number so that you can call him if you are going to be late. We just caught up with him as they were driving away.

The ship we arrived on charged more than double we paid with Viator. There were 6 of us with a private guide and minibus and it included lunch. Excellent value for money.

We had a great time roaming the streets of Istanbul with an experienced and knowledgeable guide. He was also helpful for those who were traveling solo and wanted to get a picture taken of themselves.

Overall very good, but there was a stop at a carpet shop with pressure to buy. This wasted time that could have been spent elsewhere.

The trip was worthwhile, the tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, and the lunch was fantastic. I would have rated this trip as 4 stars except for the bus driver, who was extremely aggressive. He started by shouting at some passengers for being a few minutes late in the morning and deliberately started driving when me and my wife were about to get on the bus just to make the point that we were also late.

The sights were great, but we did not appreciate that we had to stop at a rug store and listen to their sales pitch. We were not advised of this on the itinerary, and the guide did not accompany us to the Bazaar. He just told us where it was, so would have appreciated his assistance here. Otherwise, great venues.

The tour was excellent. However, the unscheduled trip to the carpet shop spoilt the tour. It was the worst kind of high pressure selling behind locked doors. We were not planning to buy an expensive carpet and we managed to resist the ploys of the salesman. Others may be pressured into buying. Take care!
