This full day tour from Rome to Capri, situated in the Gulf of Naples is a must for any visitor to Italy! The island is surrounded by an emerald and turquoise sea, and is often called the "Pearl of the Mediterranean".

Begin your journey traveling in a southerly direction along the "Highway of the Sun" crossing the fertile Roman countryside and the area known as "Castelli Romani" dotted with enchanting medieval villages. You will make a stop approximately halfway along the highway at Benedictine Abbey of Montecassino, noted for the famous battle and its complete destruction during the Second World War.

Arriving in Naples you will board a jet boat for the 45 minute crossing to Marina Grande, the port of Capri. Here you will board a motorboat to reach the Blue Grotto (Grotta Azzurra), where sunlight passes through an underwater cavity and shines through the seawater, creating a blue reflection that illuminates the cavern. The boat trip is subject to weather and sea conditions.

Return to the island, and board a minibus for a beautiful drive to Anacapri, situated at 280 meters above sea level. You will see the wonderful view of the Bay of Naples, before continuing to a local restaurant for lunch. Next, take advantage of some free time to explore Capri at leisure. Don't forget to take your camera, and bring plenty of film! Return to Marina Grande and board the boat transfer to Naples. As you enter the port, don't miss this opportunity to admire the splendid Maschio Angioino (a fortress of the 12th century), the Certosa of San Martino and the Royal Palace. After disembarking you will then take the coach for the return journey of approx. 3 hours, back to Rome. Return to the vicinity of your hotel.
