Very interesting tour. The local guide in Pompeii was excellent. The tour guide from Rome used a local type of English and spoke fast and therefore was not always easy to understand. I suggest that the supplier would provide the participants with some very simple maps of the total route, of Naples City and of Pompeii, which would improve the experience.

The trip to Naples and Pompeii was very nice. The tour guide on this trip was very knowledgeable and had a wonderful personality. Pompeii was by far our favorite as we found the city of Naples to be quite dirty and unkept. For a city that relies on tourism they really should take more pride in the cleanliness of their city, it was full of garbage. There was very little out of the bus time in Naples as most of the sites were somewhat far apart. The time in Pompeii was perfect, a guided tour with a gentleman, 80 years old, who had been guiding tours for nearly 30 years. Needless to say it was incredible.

The ride to Naples and Pompeii gave us the opportunity to see the Italian countryside. The guide explained along the way the history of the region which made the trip go by fast. The cafe where we ate lunch was great. The food and the atmosphere was perfect. The guide at Pompeii was entertaining and provided us with information that made the visit to the sites a wonderful experience for my family. The tour bus brought us back to our hotel at the end of an outstanding day.

Very complete trip. The guide on the bus gave great information about Rome and neighboring regions as we drove to Pompeii. We really enjoyed the stop in Naples, too. Lunch was delicious; only downside was that drinks, even just water on that hot afternoon, were not included with the price. Pompeii was even more impressive thanks to our great tour guide. He was a hoot. Definitely consider this trip if you have a free day in Rome after seeing all of those sights!!

They picked us up at our hotel right on time and everything went according to plan. The tour guide we had from Rome was delightful and so knowledgeable. Then the guide we picked up in Naples was wonderful also. He really knew his stuff in Pompeii. I do wish we had had more time to shop in Pompeii but it was a long day. We left Rome around 730AM and did not return until 830 that evening. Even the children loved Pompeii and all the fascinating history.

The guides were quite knowledgeable, as well as friendly. The transportation was very nice. The included lunch was quite good and served efficiently. I had no idea Pompeii was so large, so the selection of where to spend your time would have been difficult without the guides.

The absolute best. Would loved to have spent the entire day at Pompeii and skipped Naples. We only drove thru and stopped briefly in Naples and that was more than enough. Initial guide was rather dry, but the local guide at Naples and Pompeii was very interesting and really knew his stuff. Again buses were clean and comfortable.

We were cautious about this tour because it was done online, and we didn't speak to anyone. At the end of the day, Viator and the tour operator were excellent and worth every moment. Pompeii was very hot, so bring water. Naples was only a short stay and really not worth the time. Trash was on every street as we drove in, due to the strike. The bay was picturesque, but there was smog in the air. I would pass on Naples next time. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about Pompeii and may have been a professional archaeologist from the knowledge he had and was able to explain to us. He truly love his job. The bus was very clean, and lunch was fantastic.

The magnitude of Pompeii was far beyond my expectations. Unfortunately, my wife and I exited at the wrong end and had to walk a long distance to the bus. It was totally our error and we were very embarrassed. The tour was a long day, but we would do it again without any hesitation.

We never would have learned or seen all we did on our own. We had a local guide who was fantastic & very entertaining! I would recommend this to friends even though we usually don't like guided tours. We like to explore on our own, but if we had done it here we would have missed out on so much.
