Wow! Tour was fascinating, our guide Francesca had actually excavated areas of the colosseum herself and was able to show us artifacts. She brought Ancient Rome to life! Well organised, so worth skipping the line price and really enjoyable. A must!
Igor was our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and even though the weather was very hot, he remained enthusiastic and kept our attention throughout the tour. Would highly recommend.
We had Elenora, she was very good and informative - it was a punishingly hot day. Everything went very smoothly from booking to meeting up.
Our tour guide--a native Roman--was very good. She had studied archeology in university. Though the weather was very hot we enjoyed the history. Would recommend that Viator provide a shadey rest stop (cafe?) for 15 minute break during this 3+ hour tour.
Amazing tour! Sabrina, our guide was wonderful! My son has been studying Latin for years and a visit to the Forum, Palatine Hill and the Colosseum was an absolute thrill. Sabrina brought all of those places to life for us. We upgraded to the full Colosseum tour and it was so worth it. We went from the basement to the top, where only a limited number of people are admitted. It is a marvel of engineering and one of the highlights of our trip to Rome!
We had an excellent tour guide that was very knowledgeable and spoke good English. I wish that I could have recorded his tour to play back later. His tour was filled with facts that would be hard to find in any written documents.
Our guide Valentina was passionate about the coliseum, roman forum and palatine hill. Not only a guide but an archeologist!!!! Everything about our tour was wow, wow, wow. We learnt so much and were overwhelmed.
Definitely a must on anyone's list!! The only thing I can say is maybe do the morning tour as in the afternoon it could be very hot like it was for us 36c with limited shade during the tour. Just absolutely amazing and mind blowing!!
