The only way to see the Vatican museum and St Peter's Basilica! Our guide was excellent, helpful and knowledgable; and getting past the long queues was definitely worth booking ahead. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Rome.
Unfortunately, I do not know the first name of my guide, but she was absolutely phenomenol. I am not Catholic, but she made the Vatican tour so interesting, informative, fun, educational and one of the best tours I've taken in my life time. I was so happy that I had chosen Viator and will use this company whenever I travel in the future. It is excellent! I regret not knowing the guides name, she should receive a promotion from your company. She was so knowledgeable and had the greatest personality and wit. She made learning the histroy of the Vatican and Italy simply fun. I highly recommend this tour and I am one to never, ever write reviews. If Viator can find out which group I was in, please let me know the guides name. I would sign up for her again on any return trip in the future.
Excellent value for money, our guide was very knowledgeable and put over her obvious in-depth knowledge of the subject in a non-condecending way making the overall experience that much more enjoyable. Would definitely recommend!
This tour was one of our favorites. Every part of this tour was absolutely beautiful. Our guide Simmone was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed his sense of humor too! We would have missed so much had we not had his expertise. We really appreciated "skipping the line" especially when we finished out tour and saw the long line of people waiting to get in.
It was quite enjoyable to tour with "less" crowds. I have to say there were more people than I expected (we traveled in late May 2012) ... but not near the crowds during the day, as I understand. Highly recommended tour.
Arriving at the Vatican City and realizing the vast numbers of people waiting in line to get through the door was enough to confirm our decision to purchase this tour. We were not disappointed, having an exceptionally informative guide who helped point out specific pieces of interest as well as sharing colorful stories that took place in the history of the Vatican. Our overall impression was one of awesome and great regard, our tour experience having fleshed out the basics of the Vatican so that we left feeling we'd had a rich encounter with the art and history contained within.
Tiffany was an excellent guide. Place was crowded but we always knew where she was. She was very knowledgeable and it was a real treat to have someone with such excellent English.
We were very happy with our guide and tour in Rome. The whole tour was well organized with clear instructions where and when to meet. Being led past the lines of people waiting to get into the Vatican was a bonus. The guide provided historical and factual information but held our interest with amusing stories as well. The small group of ten was perfect. I can't imagine trying to take this tour on your own with only a guide book or an audio description. This was a fantastic tour!
